Part of my family has long ties to Sand Point. There is much rail history of the area as well from that bad accident about 100 years ago right up until the Braeside mill closed in the 90's. I still remember lying up at night in the summer at my Grandmothers and hearing the clacking of cars and a train whistle off in the night. Certainly a sad day for the area.
