I had mentioned an i7 and SSD before let me watch skip free. But I just tried this video again on another computer here that has an older Q6600 OC to 3.4ghz, and a standard HD under windows 7, and there are also no skips. It was also displayed on both 24 inch and 30 inch monitors, skip free. So it seems a good cpu, plus having a good connection and the fact that youtube and flash seems to be improving makes this just like watching TV. amazing! When I search 1080, this is what comes up. lol

Update: OK now Youtube has added the 1080p option to watch this video as 1080p online here on Youtube... BUT this lags for a lot of you guys because flash is very poor at decoding true 1080p HD. If you download the video from the links I posted in the description and play it on your computer it will run fine without lagging, hope this helps :)

@channelsports, I think they must have fixed or updated flash because it all seems better on this end than a year ago. But also a good cpu helps a lot too. I guess if someone is almost able to watch, but their computer isn't quite fast enough, then downloading it will fix it as you said.

@bobpearce1958 Maybe your PC is not fast enough. Sufficient RAM, processor, and graphics card are necessary to stream HD videos. 1080p plays perfectly on a gaming PC running Intel Core i7 and lots of RAM. My PC is seven years old and has the same problem.

It's either your internet connection (just pause it until it loads completely) or your video card. I was having this same problem with a GeForce 7900 GTO but change it to a GeForce GTX 260 and the problem was inmediately solved. Now I can watch this video perfectly without a singly problem. Hope this helps.

Finally I got HD to work skip free. When I changed to a new, fast i7 computer all the skips were nearly gone. I could watch like 30 seconds, but then I'd see a little skip. Today I put in a solid date drive and it's 100% perfect.

Also I didn't have to change anything under windows 7. It works under XP as well without skipping. SSD is great.

And most important that the processor itself, it's the video card. The better and bigger you get a video card, the less likely you will have any problems and most of us don't care much about it ;)

@FIREMEX, Actually a better processor is more important in this case so the video stream can be decoded quickly enough. Unless someone had the crappiest old card, updating the card usually won't be the answer since quickly projecting 2D is easily done by 4 year old cards or older. Usually its 3D which requires the newest gaming card etc. Of course better cards can help, but if cpu lacks, people will never decode quickly enough. I explained it for those wondering how.. So no need to be rude.

on the other hand, flash can sometimes use 20-30% gpu for decoding so it's a little bit of both, and sometimes a gfx card can help. But a better cpu always gives it a kick.

Well the resolution on it is 1680x1050. 1080p is 1920x1080. So at full screen you can't fully show all of the data that the video contains. You can still view it just fine. It just isn't being displayed at full 1080p. The same goes for anyone viewing this not full screen.
