My boxer never had her tail cut down to a nub. The great dane that I owned before her never had its ears "fixed". And both dogs were perfectly healthy and fine.

Haha, that's so cute. Danes are such playful dogs. This makes me think of when our neighbour's cat used to get into our yard. Our Dane would chase the cat, but treat it like a toy.
