  • I bet he's glad he doesn't have to have a CRT on stage anymore.

  • Saw him finally a few years back, amazing.

    nice find on this vid

  • holy mother of what the holy shittt

  • I see an Amiga 1000

  • WoW incredible performance, this guy is a genius! is there some circuit bending going on here? very hard to get what his sound sources are

  • This is not in Dublin, but in Paris. I am in this video dancing in the front and I've never been to Dublin, although was in Paris Jan - Jun 1993. Great party!

  • @loopp5 Hey thanks for the info compatriote !

  • @thebabatos you can change the title you know. :D

  • This is not in Dublin, but in Paris. I was there!

  • lol at him bringing his desktop along :D

  • Wikipedia says that he has over 100 hours of unreleased material. That's crazy.

  • " i gaz do dechy i wypuszczam czad, z aparatury co ma 1000 wat " :D

  • Very good. are there other artists who did similar tunes like this. Trippy, hard and technical

  • @myownservant you'd like dark psytrance artists like audiopathik, baphomet engine, psychoz, xikwri neyrra, mubali, to name a few. deep hypnotic basslines from hell!

  • melody starting at 5:15 sounds like the ice cavern from ocarina of time

  • 1993 techno aphex live yeah..

  • Nice lighting that dude on stage is rolling lol

  • lets face it, afx is faking this one hes got a cd playing probably these songs are EXACTLY like they are on the cd and nothing changes when he pretends to turn those knobs atleast not in this video.

  • this is THE live i wanted to see.but it will never happen.and i'll be always sad

  • this is amazing!!

  • It's difficult to tell but is that an atari tt?

  • monster track. very evil sounding.

  • Hrmph, some live set. He's hunched over some unused boxes playing three tracks exactly as they are recorded to CD.

    1. "hidden mix" from the Quoth single

    2. the fourth track from Analogue Bubblebath 3

    3. in the last few seconds of the video, "Start as You Mean to Go On" from "I Care Because You Do" (which wasn't released until 1995).

  • perhaps this isn't a desk recording of the set, just some of his tunes to go along with the footage of performance. it would be somewhat unfortunate, but it does commonly happen with footage of live performances. could be the same tunes he played except studio versions to make up for an inadequate-to-broadcast recording. cause it is obviously not recorded "live on the floor" from the PA. just a hypothesis.

  • Hey dude ! I really want to think this is live and also really want to believe someone can't make such a good mix of afx trax at the time.

I hope your theory is wrong, please don't mind.

    Regards.

  • i agree doing bugger all - maybe passing through a low pass filter/phlanger or something but thats it,gives it away at the start of the 2nd track when the sound changes and his a little slow putting his hand on the other module, either way what electronic artst plays live, its all preprogrammed with maybe the exception jm jarre!

  • this boggles my mind. i doubt raves like this still even go on

  • how does he make drum and bass from drum machines?

  • Holy shit. this set is from "93". I can only say GOODLYKE !!!

  • They're not unreleased. The track that's playing at the beginning is Quoth [Hidden Mix]. It's on the Cd version of the Quoth Single.

  • :) Many thanks for the precisions, but i've got the original "surfing on sine waves" (1992) and "quoth" is the third track of this album.

Thanks anyway, i was to lazy to check my "analogue bubblebath"

  • so much unreleased music in here. arghhhhh

  • Yep, :~ Some tracks can be found on the albums "The Aphex Twin - Classics" and "Analogue Bublebbath n°?" but most of them are still unreleased, grrrrrrr...

  • DOPE still probably using heavily

    Cordialement.

  • yes, its back

  • What a post! EPIC!

  • hello
