What a beautiful song. The Three Suns are a forgotten, underrated group but so meaningful to those who remember their music and realize what a talented group they were. Thank you for posting this.
Had this on a Majestic [red] label 78, different arrangement with no celeste effects and a less flashy B3 part. Less showy,straight ahead playing by The Three. How many times did they record this one prior to,say, 1950?
I used to listen to them play at the Astor Bar off Times Square in 1945 when I was in the Navy. They were from Fall River, MA. My navy buddy was their cousin so we got free beers.
Wonderful song!!!!!!!!

I was in a record club when I fortuitously selected the Suns. One of their best. Thank you and God bless you Greg,

The beginning sounds almost like "Dream" by the Pied Pipers.

Can someone tell me if this is in the public domain?
I need to do a project only with public domain media, and I'd love to use this song!

The 3 Suns are almost forgotten nowadays - They had a very unusual sound, with a harmonica, a Harp and an organ...unless i am mistaken.

@twalsh06 There was no harmonica

A timeless classic, written by Three Suns member Morty Nevins. The song would become a bigger hit a decade later, sung by the Platters.

added to 1944 on my 100 music playlists for every year back to 1900. Escape to any past year fo all the beautiful music that seems to have vanished.
All it takes is my playlists and your mouse . . . . . . .
