I will say that Ice T and this movie got me into rap.

I LOVED his OG album. I LOVED it!!!!!

Then there was NWA and Ice Cube. That's where my love for rap came from.

I must say that 99% of rap nowadays is shit.

There is very little that I enjoy now.

To me, rap died in the late 90's to very early 2000's.

Dr Dre's Chronic 2000 was one of, if not THE last good rap album and music to come out.

Not many people will know this fact,they actually helped in the pioneering of gangster rap in the early days.Take, "Rhymin & Stealin" from their first album in '86 before Ice T & NWA. That's 1 example + "Paul's Boutique" their 2nd album in 1989 which has more examples like, "High Plains Drifter" & "Lookin down the barrel of a gun"+ "Car thief" etc Just read the lyrics.This was all before Ice t & NWA.
