@joe reason is that people like to compare to the best... runners compared to Usain Bolt... Swimmers to Phelps... Climbers to Chris Sharma... it's just common. I would never go as far as to say one is better then the other like (constancecv) but if someone asked me what Josh Ritter was like I am sure that at least Dylan would come up.

Just saw a concert of his last night. His stage performance is just incredible! He's got this amazing energy that makes you really feel his music. Definitely a great concert and if you ever get the chance to go GO!

its abit rude , but i cant help myself comparing him to dylan, IMHO he will be better than dylan with lyrics and music but if you know anything about music and good music you SHOULD know that the arrangements of Dylan are simply awlful live, dylans loosing his voice, and they are so unbelievabley out of time, and i have seen them live at the NEC bir

Yeah, I see comparisons to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and while not unfounded, Josh brings the best of both IMHO. Then add the fact that Josh is his OWN style and you have one of the first true class acts of the 21st Century.
