All of a sudden, I'm thinking of dancing oranges.

The first time I played this game was when I borrowed it from the kid from across the street (who I found out was a complete jerk by 6th Grade). This was when I was very young, mind, so I thought it was called "Baby Dinosaurs" until I saw the cover.

I never did get very far in that game; only to room 10 or so.

Those 100 Levels were so hard, no continues, no like todays easy faceroll game, with regen health, unlimited ammo, autoaim, cover and what not.

Bubble Bobble on the NES actually had infinite continues though. There's no penalty for death outside of losing 'E X T E N D' powerups and points. It's very forgiving in that department. What makes it kinda hardcore is all the run-around it gives you when not only do you discover about the alternate path that you have to take, but that you have to do it all a second time AND clear the final boss with 2 players both alive to get the best/ final ending. That was nuts. :)
