@serpentswordful Go to the Necrohol of Nabudis in the Hall of Effulgent Light. Go to the Northernmost room, and there should be another room that is not on your map. In one of the corners of that room, you get an exclamation mark. It is a merchant with some awesome gear and stuff. I recommend ff12maps.com if you're having trouble following these instructions :-)

I remember this area all too well. The eastern tunnels of the Henne Mines were brutal. My characters would still take a beating even at Lv. 70 or above. I might try this trick it looks like it works well. Thanks for the tip.

you dont run out of mp because of the martyr augments. for every spell that hits,you get mp, so with all the bats you gain mp for every curaja.

I actually think the Best Lving Spot is Giruvegan, on the path to the Omega Boss. There, the Forbiddens Spawn constantly and it take only 2-3 hits to kill one. You get a chain of 20-30 in 1min or less! that's about

40000-60000 exp in one min! or 80,000-120,000 with Embordered Tipplet.

ON the other hand, at this intersection in Hennin mines, It takes about 3mins to kill 15-20bats. This is about 45000-60000 in 3mins.

Or 90,000-120,000 with embordered tipplet.

Numbers don't lie.

You can get the embroidered tippet for 5000 gil from the Stranded Merchant in Old Archades.

And to get to that area you have to have defeated at least 10 espers. You must then go to Jahara and talk to Geomancer Yugelu. He will unlock the gate in the Henne Mines (that's the one in the Ore Separation where you previously beat Tiamat). You must then go through the gate and follow the passage.

Anyway, after that, go in a striaght line and you'll find a map urn. This will help point you in the right direction as there are several secret passages. Then just head to Pithead Junction C. Be aware not to enter the Special Charter Dig though, unless you are ready to face Zodiark.

There is a side quest to open up the harder part of henne mines, as I understand it, It starts with the MindFlayer hunt, Rabanste Tavern hunt, petioner is in jhara. You finish this hunt and then your told to talk to the geomancer, He says your not ready for the mines yet and to come back when you gather many great powers. At this point you need to aquire 10 espers and talk to him again and he will send someone to open the gate for you. I believe the entrance is located in the Feywood.

you have to use teleport to the crystal. Make sure you have the 10 summons and that you have talked to the geomancer in jahara then when u go to the henne mines the big gate north of the crystal will be open.

you can do it but the problem is the bats arent that hard at about lvl 55-60 and reverse doesnt last very long so youll constantly be recasting it. Decoy is plausible tho but ive nvr had much of a problem. To each his own. Kinda better if all ppl take dmg tho keeps ppl from dying until you can get all the bats asleep. They do like 1k dmg and 2k with leech.
