@Patricia1989tn- I hafta disagree...yes it was disappointing having Dana die in the show I cried my eyes out when she did but that's what made the L word such a great show it was so unpredictable but also realistic we could all relate to their characters and when Dana had cancer we all thought she would beat it...hell that's what we were all hoping for but in reality that's not always the case...the L word made Dana's character so real to us that it truly hurt to say goodbye. That was brilliant.

I never got why they picked Dana to die from cancer.. She was an athlete for christ's sake, Shane was a chain smoking, fuck-all-over-town who was much more prone to getting ill.. Not that I would want anyone in the show to get killed off, just thought it was stupid.. :(
