That bass is turned up very loud and sounds very exposed when it's just it the piano and kit. Maybe too much treble on the amp, would sound better if it was a little more bassy at times, possible implemented with a pedal of some sort

Shed loads of reverb! Or a delay with the repeat time turned done really low so it kinda quivers. A decent fuzz pedal (or I think they use the amp drive from the marshalls) with a compressor/sustainer prob. I'm just guessing though. Prob something completely different!
