@Thelxltan you think it's funny until you walk outside and look around you only to find dead bodies laying in yards and houses, trees, and power lines thrown all over the roads. Those are people who lost families, and memories that they will never get back, and your making jokes? You should be ashamed coming from a guy who lives here.
@trueworship424, This was the long tracked EF5 tornado that went through Hackleburg, Phil Campbell, Mount Hope, Hillsboro, Trinity, Tanner, Harvest.
I began the video going north on Hwy 67 then from 0:53 to 4:06 I am at the Hwy 67/Hwy 24 overpass in Decatur and from 4:07 to end I am going west down Hwy 20.
@Kgivans2 im guessing this is the evening storm which long-tracked all the way from Hackleburg/PhilCampbell/Trinity/Athens/Harvest, etc. if that's the case, it was the 5pm storm.
would like to know if my guess is right. also would like to know what road these guys are on?
@argosy56, Yeah this was right there at the Marvins on Hwy 67. @landonsmith100, I've been helping out in Mt. Hope that and Tanner seem to be the areas where the tornado was at its highest in strength you were lucky.
omg, this was horrible. I live in mount Hope, and it missed our house by about 2000 feet. Some shingles were knocked off our house and it threw our trampoline, which was behind our house, over our house, and atleast 1000 feet away. Also, a trailer is right behind us. It threw the entire roof off of it and it came right towards our house. If it wasnt for our power line, it wouldve hit our house. Instead, it hit the power line, broke it,. and the roof went the other way. Amazing what it did.
Can you tell me about what time this was when you started filming over on Hwy 67 by the Marvin Hardware store? I was driving from Courtland to Trinity and I am pretty sure I was right in front of that tornado that destroyed those homes. I was watching the trees falling as I drove through there, it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced.
after riding in that jeep all in that great weather kinda makes me fill like a vitnam vet

What was on fire?
ncheel231976 10 months ago
@ncheel231976 That flame is normal operation, burning everyday. It's a distillation tower. A lot of people reported it, though, in the confusion.
