thanks, check out my other vids too. I just put new skins and carbides on so far. I also just picked up a 97 Skidoo Grand Touring 583 twin rotax... will post vids soon.
my buddy has a 94 phazer that i plan to ride with this winter coming. he's gotten it to do 150 - 155 (by speedo) no mods. you never really know how fast you're moving unless you use a radar gun.
hey dude gas prices suck and i was thinking about buying a old sled that was still fast but had good gas mileage. so hows the gas mileage on this phazer?
it's not bad, one of the better sleds so I have found out and heard. Pretty much most of the Fan cooled sleds are good on gas. I get just about 300 kms with easy riding (50 km/h average speed) on a full tank, going out I would not have to worry much about fuel, most of my friends would have to get gas on the way home.
not 100% sure, but I know not too much changed on them from about 86-93 ish.... there is also the exciter which is the same pretty much body wise, but has a 570cc liquid cooled engine and will do 100mph easy.
On a flat surface with all other things being equal your weight won't affect top speed just how long it takes to get there. Assuming of course that you can get your body all tucked in and out of the wind like a smaller person.
ya, I am still young enough that I can tuck myself into a ball, somewhat. We'll see what it can do next season after a good tune up at a local shop. Looking at getting a second sled as well around 600cc range for the right price, and a trailer of course.
i have a 1997 phazer and i have gone 65 mph, but i never have any place to get it higher cause im always on groomed trails, and you arent supposed to go over 35 mph.
Ha The guy i bought my phazer said he got his 120 mph on hardpack.
