Ya know I'd imagine that since the Lin Kue are into "modernisation" then you'd kind of expect them to be something like Deadpool or Deathstroke in carrying around a few modern weapons. They did that with Sektor & Cyrax, but what about Sub-Zero & Smoke?

@IcyOne4884 I think that is because Sub-zero can make his own weapons of Ice, so he doesnt really use other weapons. And Smoke is this legendary being of Vapor and smoke, so he wouldnt have to use modern weapons.

For the Skipped Cutscene: Sub Zero tells Sonya to take a nearby portal back to earthrealm and he leaves to the Colleseum to find Shao-Khan. Sonya takes jax there and the scene shifts to the Colleseum where Kitana is fighting a random earthrealm male. She wins but hesitates to kill him, remembering when Lu kang spared her life. Then Subzero appears and challenged Scorpion, but they give him Reptile instead.
