Erm, no, its a thumb hole! Bayonet fittings (normally found on a two sided bladed rather than a bowie) work via a turning fix attachment, not a big hole that you shove a barrel through!!

it's not a thumb hole, the hole is to slide over a rifle barrel to make a bayonet,
