@judaschongo Quality match making? Fedor vs Zulu? Pride was marketed toward the wrestling audience with there fixed fights, fake personas (rampage as a homeless man) and no drug testing. Pride fans like to think they are "hardcore" fans but there not. Pride was a poorly run promotion and it was closer to "wrestling" then an actual sport

@judaschongo "Gear toward wrestlers"? What the fuck are you talking about? Prides targeted audience was the WWF audience. It was owned by former wrestling promoters (or something like that)! The WWF like entrances, the Freak show fights, cro cop fighting a guy in a mask, marketing Rampage as a homeless black man fighting to eat, the no drug testing and fixed fights were all to appeal to the WWF type fans. Pride was fun but if it was still top org MMA would NOT be legal in many place

@judaschongo Im not sure why you mentioned them. Pride put on some of the greatest fights ever!!! Im not arguing that. But for every Fedor vs Cro Cop there was a Cro Cop vs a Guy in a mask or Wandy vs an undersized can. Pride was built around the "pro wrestling" (fake wrestling) model and its targeted audience was the "pro wrestling" fan. What does them putting on some great fights have to do with any of what i said?

So your mad at the production values of PrideFC, claiming it was generated towards a pro-wrestling fan base? PrideFC was more in line with the fighting aspect, honor, Bushido, warrior code etc. Just look at their praise & treatment of fighters, in reality PrideFC was similar to an Olympics or World Cup type of event.

@judaschongo When there is a mis match in the ufc its usually something the #1 ranked guy vs a # 6 Ranked guy (GSP vs Hardy, Silva vs Maia) not #1 guy vs unranked undersized can (many of Wandys fights). Pride was nothing like the olympics or world cup!! If a race in the olympics is fixed there would be an out rage, in pride there was fixes all the time. There were A TON of freak show fights not just a few, They were biased toward the crowed favorites and not professinal like pride fans clam!

In other words none of them even accepted or threw any fights. But he did fight Rampage who was superior to ANYTHING the ufc even possessed; remember what happened to Chuck? How about his fight vs Hunt? when the hell did ufc ever produce such a tough fight for their little darlings Tito or Chuck? Oh & ufc isn't biased towards lay-n-pray, English speaking marketable fighters? your arguments fall apart under close scrutiny!

Why does everyone like the song? I like PRIDE as much as anyone-but my god-this song is awful! The intro itself is realy neat, but this song is horrible!
