  • and it's expensive...

  • Not if you know what happened with the "gulf oil leak" and Japan....not eating nothing out of the ocean again...=(

Only two years till the bulk of Japan washes up on the west coast.

  • glad i saw this video, i bought these from the health food store i really trust for a few dollars and figured i may as well try them since i am pretty sure i see them in many recipes online, when i got home and read the packaging more i realized something was off. I am probably going to throw them away or return them and i am not even a completely raw food eating person! yuck!

  • Thank you so much for your video. I had just been introduced to kelp Noodles via a you tube video and was going to try it. Your video makes so much sense to me. I will not be trying Kelp Noodles! Thank you again!

  • Please keep us updated on the new Kelp noodles the real raw ones coming to the market.

  • Wow! Thank you so much. You are awesome! You just saved me from putting that crap in my body.

  • wow you really prove a point... I actually searched this product on the search engine because there is a video of raw chef Ani Phyo uses this product in one of her videos (use should check it out) and saw your video, and was very amazed to hear your point of view...

  • I live on the west coast too. I was wondering about the bubble kelp and if anyone has ever tried to prepare it for consumption. I was thinking it would make a very robust noodle???

  • i love your refreshing honesty and your upfrontness.

  • Yes great video! Thanks for showing this. I was always wondering about these "raw" noodles since I never saw kelp that looked like that. I use zucchini to make noodles, or sweet potato or even other root vegetables, but zukes, when made the best way are best!

  • Great VIDEO... I just used those exact noodles last night I piced them up from Whole Foods. THANK YOU for bringing this to my attention. I'm going to make a video for Raw Sangha too. I'm going to do what I can to get the word out, especially about this particular company selling their product as Raw!

    Once again... THANK YOU!

  • You have a point... they are definitely processed. Whether they are "raw" or not could be argued. You seem to place a stricter definition of raw on things than most people do.

Sure, they're pretty devoid of nutrients, but on the flipside, they're also devoid of anything harmful....

  • Let your body talk to you. I get tired and bloated on fast foods and energetic and happy when I do a week of raw. So I'm gonna try raw for as long as I can. Good luck.

  • Good video, i've always thought these are very suspect - not that ive tried them because the only company that sells them in the uk charges £7 (over $10) a bag! I'd rather have cooked buckwheat noodles, at least they are 100% and not a void food.

  • Thanks John....I have been wondering how these noodles could be raw....now we know

  • LMAO! They do feel like plastic in your mouth. I expected them to be green when I first heard about them.

  • I have believed what you are saying ever since I saw that kelp noodle. I never would buy it because it is obviously a fraction of the kelp since it is clear noodles.........why are so many raw chefs showing that noodle is beyond me. I guess it could be considered more like a bulk fiber like chia gel or psyllium gel than a food .

  • A very big thank you to you, I have been eating this "stuff".... but that won't be happening again...thank you so much for all that you are doing for us all!!! keep up the good work!!!

  • Hey John do you know where we could buy Fucus (bladderwrack) from? It's very good for thyroid health especially for raw foodists like me who have had their thyroids removed or destroyed by Radioactive iodine prior to going raw. Thanks for posting this video.

  • The sea weed I am showing in the video is known as kelp, but technically is bladderwrack. Please invite me to see your process and make a video of the processing of your kelp noodles, if you have nothing to hide. I have had friends call and inquire about your processing of the kelp, and they have not gotten concrete answers... At this point, I still believe the kelp noodles to be a highly processed, product, and should not be considered a "raw food product".

  • We have that kelp all over the beaches here in Alaska, but it stinks and is loaded with worms and bugs. Ew, not sure I want to go harvest that. I do know the Natives eat the sea cucumbers that wash in on the shores, but the ones Ive seen have the worms and bugs. I need motivation to try that kelp, LOL.

  • Probably not good to harvest "Washed up kelp". Much akin to harvesting fruit that has dropped on the ground and started rotting.. Kelp I pulled up was still living and attached to the rocks. You might need a boat to harvest in shallow waters not on the beach or look for rock outcroppings when its low tide they may grow to.
