  • As of Jan.18th 2012 Greg has returned to the group he helped form and reclaimed HIS yellow skivvy. Greg has bravely and resiliently fought a hard battle to regain his health, and is overjoyed to be back home. They are already in the studios working on songwriting and will record new CDS and DVDS as soon as possible. Tours will start in Australia in March, and English and U.S. tours will follow in the summer. Welcome home GREG PAGE! You have been greatly missed!

  • @radiologytechgirl Yean and then Sam was bravely and resiliently thrown to the kerb and dismissed without a care in the world and the past 10 years (6 as lead) meant nothing while the rest of the gang got filthy stinking rich. Sure, welcome home Greg Page, you're broke as hell.

  • Farewell Sam.

  • A goldfish is a great pet; espe-

  • sam can stick to opera greg forever

  • its becase sam was a guest sam is sooooooooooooooooo hot

  • Wow, this guy is good! O_O I can see why Greg chose him out of all people to be his temporary replacement. Can you imagine if Greg chose someone like the guy in the Barney suit to lead? Respect Greg's opinion and stop fighting, everybody! I can't ever watch a video without seeing a STUPID YouTube fight!

  • What's this bollocks about Sam not bring an opera singer? So what? Neither was Greg! He was a lead singer of an 80s one-hit wonder band. Who here even *remembers* that song? His claim to fame is 'Hot Potato'. Wooooow. I remember the music clip, but not how the song goes!

And back to Sam's "lack" of talent? He studied classical voice and music ed, as well as has a musical theatre background. He studied at one one of our most prestigious music schools, that you need to *audition* for to get in.

  • @trinachronism What are you talking about? Who was a lead singer of an 80's one hit wonder band?? Who cares about opera? He didn't sing professionally although some think he did. He studied some, but never completed the program. He did almost no musical theatre. Greg's claim to fame involves quite a bit more than "Hot Potato." 16 yrs of gold & platinum records, 5 ARIAS, Australia's richest entertainers, Exporters of the Year, Honorary Doctorates. So much more & all done on Greg's watch.

  • @trinachronism You didn't answer my questions. 80's? One hit wonder? You imply Anthony was the only drawcard. Wrong again. BOTH Greg & Anthony were ladies favorites & Greg was nicknamed "the matinee idol." That's from a published article. The accolades belong to the group, but Greg was their voice & face for 16 yrs. Anthony said losing Greg was like the Stones losing Jagger. He said Greg made it look easy, but he didn't know how difficult it was until Greg was gone. You want to call him a liar?

  • I think Sam does a great Job - better than any commenter here could do! What's with all the Sam baggers?? Sam is not Greg - he has his own talent - get over it.

  • @MGoose66 You have no right to tell anyone what to do. If someone doesn't like sam - and that includes myself & plenty of other people - that's none of your business. There is no law stating we have to like him & we are allowed to state our opinion of him. He most certainly is not Greg, and won't ever measure up to Greg. He is not a founder, nor does he have the charisma or showmanship that Greg does. He's not a songwriter or even part of the creative process. Why don't YOU get over yourself?

  • @trinachronism So only YOU can post ALL your "opinions?" Lady, you're so laughable & totally misinformed. Greg & Anthony met in 1985 when Greg was 13 & were friends for a long time before Murray arrived. The group was no one's idea. They've all said it was not planned & simply evolved organically. The only thing planned was the first CD which was to be a one off. Murray & Greg had no large family like the Fields to bring into the company - plus they wanted to be involved - not everyone does.

  • @MGoose66 Nowhere do I I tell you what to do. Where is the personal attack? Where do I say you have no rights? I stated facts: he's not a founder, not part of creative decisions, not a producer. It's fact the majority of songs with Greg were original & that the last 4 yrs few original songs have been written. I also expressed my opinions which you don't like as they run counter to your beliefs. You're the hypocrite. YOU ordered everyone "to get over it" as if we have no right to our opinions.

  • @FreedomOfSpeech100 Sam didn't just pushed himself to the group, instead he was chosen accordingly taking into consideration his talent.

  • @MGoose66 Exactly. I worked in child care and had to listen to The Wiggles every damned day. I couldn't *stand* Greg. But I didn't begrudge him that. It's a job, you persevere. However, I'm happy that the yellow Wiggle has changed, because it means I don't have to suffer in silence due to my kids wanting to watch it.

Lemme guess, you're an Aussie, huh?

  • @trinachronism I was the same. I didn't like the WIggles when Greg was with them. Then recently I decided that regardless, my toddler might like them. I got some of the new videos with Sam, and lo and behold, I started to like the Wiggles. A lot! The new ensemble with Sam brings out the best in them all.

  • @jfesmire If you think that's their best, then you've got some bad taste. I don't think they'd appreciate you tossing 16 yrs of work into the trash can. They've said they did their best & most popular songs with Greg. They were at the top when he left & I'd like to know how you can say that's true now. From what I've read, Australia is the only place they've managed to retain popularity. Props, flashy costumes, extra cast,

acrobatics - anything to cover that the group isn't what it used to be.

  • @trinachronism I bet a lot of ppl have to suffer in silence around you. I would never leave a child in the care of someone who talks & thinks like you. Perhaps you're also happy that a medical condition took away the group that he loved? It sounds as though you would have wished anything on him since you couldn't *stand* him. What you're saying is distasteful & certainly not what a majority of ppl think. There would never have been any changes made & losing Greg was the last thing they wanted.

  • Dude, who cares? The kids don't notice, why should anyone else? *shakes head* People are weird.

  • @trinachronism Plenty of adults AND kids care. If you've spent any time on parents forum's, on Wiggles' forums, or just the internet in general, you would find out who cares and notices. Many kids do notice if Greg is not the Yellow Wiggle and quickly lose interest, or if given the choice between a newer or older DVD will chose the original Wiggles. Many parents also report that their kids simply quit watching altogether when Greg left. Maybe it is YOU who are weird.

  • @FreedomOfSpeech100 Uh... huh. Right. I think you need to learn to take things less seriously. If kids choose not to watch a program due to a guy leaving, that's their prerogative. I don't see why kids' folks need to attack the replacement. He's just doing his job. It would interest me to know if the majority of ppl negating Sam's talent are US or not. Here in AU, I know that those I am in contact with that watch the show don't care. Their kids, too. He's still yellow, isn't he? Chillax, guys.

  • @trinachronism Unless you're in contact with the entire country, I don't think you can speak for Australia as a whole, especially since I know ppl who disagree with you. Negative opinion isn't coming only from the US. What your reasoning behind that? Since when is opinion attacking? You've got a right to put down Greg, but then boo hoo all over the place when I say what I think about sam. If anybody's serious about going after ppl who don't worship sam, it's you. You need to take a pill.

  • It's Professor Singalottasonga !

    ;3

  • Still call Australia home............i love Sydney

  • Damn you cant go on any Wiggles video without seeing the Sam comments Spammed! People try way to hard these day.

  • I really think The Wiggles evolved since San took over! First it was too childish and Greg was taking all the attention. Jeff, Murray, Anthony and Paul are great musicians and deserved all the credit they didn't have. Sam has an amazing voice and as the last productions show, they are now a lot more professional! We've been watching them for about a year and found the old videos, and even right before Greg had to left, the difference is huge!

  • @gamocagirl Bull. They all got equal credit & they wanted Greg as the front man & leader. It's called slick & commercialized, not professional......an overload of performers, scenery, costumes. So much activity on the stage that many kids can't hear or find The Wiggles. That's not just my opinion, but it has been voiced often on various Wiggles groups. They didn't need any of that before..... just The Wiggles - their music, their camaraderie......and it worked. They WERE #1. Not any more.

  • what ever happened to greg

  • @roflmao9144Greg was diagnosed with Orthostatic Intolerance & reluctantly stepped back from the group. Basically it means his blood is not properly circulated around his body. It stays with you, but IS NOT life threatening. In Sept 09 Greg said his health is great now & he was returning to singing & public speaking. He's involved with fundraising for charities & medical research. He plays cricket in celebrity matches & is spokesman for Dynakids & ambassador for Angelbears. Greg's on Facebook.

  • and Greg was in this video !!! who knew he would take over . what a shame !!!

  • @Simone2true4U "Take over?" What do you think, he bought out the Wiggles and kicked Greg out or something? That's the dumbest thing I've read today. Besides, it's obvious by this video that Sam is actually a better singer and performer than Greg.

  • @jfesmire i did read that greg have to quit for a sick.

  • @vzlar0x Exactly, so I wish people would give Sam a break. Sam was Greg's understudy. It was his job to step in if Greg had to leave. Chances are the other Wiggles (and Sam now as well) have understudies who would have to step in if any of them left.

  • @jfesmire i think is good that we have a sam, i prefer a wiggle without greg than no wiggles at all.

  • @jfesmire No, YOUR comment is the dumbest thing I've read today. The only obvious thing on the video is that he's loud & loud does not equate to being a better singer. If he's so great, why didn't he hit the big time on his own as a famous singer? The guy would never have been heard from if Greg hadn't needed to step back to focus on his health (he has succeeded in turning around & can now perform again & be involved in many projects.) Also, moran never performed as a professional opera singer.

  • @jfesmire Infinitely, better. This whole comment list is pretty dumb... it's all opinion. Why does everyone feel the need to force their opinions upon others like it's freakin' gospel? I don't get it.

  • @trinachronism Really?? Then why do you feel the need to force your opinion on others like you're preaching a freakin' gospel?? You can make whatever nasty comment you want, but you get unhinged when someone stands up to you and says what they think.

  • @mileycyruscrazy101 your an idiot ha

  • @c8h6 good for u c8h6

  • Would be kinda fun watching Sam and Paul Paddick whose background's also in opera(who've thought) do a duet.

  • @bighoaxor I agree 100% grown ass people acting childish over a childrens' show, WTF!

  • he seems much older with a beard but with out he looks sorta young

  • Sam's hair looks better here.

  • i like this video because i feel like i am taking a trip sydeny, australia it's getting me out of america.

  • Sam is a fantastic vocalist. Greg was great too and we all miss him, but thankfully The Wiggles chose someone as talented as Sam to try to fill Greg's shoes!

  • I love Sam's voice.

  • The music sounds like it's from "Christmas Barcarolle".

  • Epic fail.

  • he really had to sang opera

  • how dare people frown my comment
