Nice job for your first try! (The information made it seem like it was your first try.)

Tip: When rotoscoping the mask, make the mask overlap the motion blur of your prop while trying not to get it bigger than your props motion blur. Then you will have a better fanning on the lightsaber. I hope that this tip helped!
