  • ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD TIMELESS CLASSIC MASTERPIECE

  • KILL JESTER

  • We are lucky to have this music, I discovered it by accident, and I stick to it.

  • @phoselover1968 a friend first played this for me in 1979 or 80. Now go check out Kitaro & Nerrada...

  • Many the old acid tab was dropped in my youth for this topper! = )

  • FALCONHOOF

  • a God particle!!!

  • JCJ is not ahead of his time, his music is timeless.

  • @Corsa15DT

till present no one made better !

  • @fleshmannn I can't rank music as best. It is a master piece for sure and there is nothing else like it.

  • I personally think that the part after 3:56 should have been used as the opening credits theme to the 1985 sci-fi film "Enemy Mine", since it would fit perfectly with the film's space setting.

(For the record, the film's soundtrack itself was composed by JMJ's father Maurice, and, as with many of his later work, features a mix of synthesizers - particularly the younger Jarre's trademark instrument, the Fairlight CMI - and more traditional instruments.)

  • HA HA, I was just telling my friend that my total wigout love for synths started when I was 7 and heard this on the Gallipoli soundtrack. Thanks dad for exposing me to this. x Thanks JMJ

  • Thank you Jean for giving each one of the pleasure of listening to your musics. God bless.

  • This piece of music is 35 years old now,

    and still ahead of time.

    Amazing!

But if You play this Music on analoge audio source (LP)

on a good player (moving coil)

with good headphones (i use a Sennheiser)

It makes You even more shiver than this track here,

although the qudio quality here is not so bad for a Youtube track...

    DIGITAL MUSIC SUCKS!

  • does anybody know what that synth is that starts about 4:40? sounds similar to the twin peaks theme. I'd like to know the name or the type of synth. thaks.

  • @lluvianihilista I believe it's either an EMC Synthi AKS or EMS VCS3.

  • they play this in the roper mountin science center planatarium

  • Great music by a great Artist

  • Heavenly! The only word to describe this piece of wonder art

  • Yep,despite of we are so small-anyway-God stands us in front of everything, over all angels, over the all creatures, over the all stars and Universe-we are The Crown of all He had created. And everything was created for us-people. So...we are not just "little speck of nothing", we are future kings and priests of universe!!!

  • The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. The introduction begins like this:

“Space, it says, is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space…”

  • My mate's Dad owned a copy of this and we played it one day when skipping school, I was hooked from day one. It's hard to believe how incredibly arresting this new music was in the late 1970s. It's still great now, but has been constantly imitated for 30 years.

  • This is a masterpiece! Music made by one of the best composer in all times.

  • 40 people live in the past...

  • MAGNIFIC ¡¡¡¡¡

  • Hey guys I just recently discover Jean Michel Jarre music, and I must say its incredible. I wanted to share my music to all of you guys as well that are fans of Jean Michel Jarre. Of course, Jean is on another level then all of us lol but I pray my music may bring some peace or harmony into your lives. Jesus Christ have redeemed my very soul into doing this music for all those who are seeking rest in the mind.

  • I love this music while observing the night sky with my telescope.

  • @SH1974 Yeah, I'm with you. Love this music while observing the neighbors with my binoculars.

  • @MrJETCITY I think it is not the same way elevating to observe the neighbors.

Even if she is a real beauty, it elevates just one part of the body, not the whole body & soul...

  • @SH1974 HaHaHaHaHa ..,.,. I haven't laughed so much in ages. God bless ya!!! :)

  • Mi amour!

  • I´m looking forward to see him in Oslo Spektrum October 26th!!! =))

  • A future like this music inspires, is completly unobtainable until we realice we can't treat Earth like a fastfood meal and expect it go well..

In not more then 50 years , i'm willing to bet my entire life's worth of $ society has utterly collapsed sadly

  • this was an escape.

  • very nice!

  • This is the soundtrack of the aliens, excellent

  • try to look at another human from behind ,

he will turn around and look straight in your eyes.

    you know why.

you and him are connected .

  • we are not small in the universe mate.

    we are the universe.

every single idea , is a vibrating string of energy.

the universe is a vibrating string of energy.

we are all strings of the violin.

we are the gods of this universe.

  • J.M. Jarre - a musician WAY ahead of his time. jackrudybacks I, too, thank-you - and - we are so small in the universe! Just a little speck of EVERYTHING!

  • en el universo no somos nada que habra mas alla? no lo sabemos

  • Thinking celestially? My friend Michael Clausen shared this song with me years ago.

  • all the night dreamin with thi song...merçi Michel .

  • Salut

  • I listened to this in the womb, no joke.

  • Supeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!!

  • donde esté morricone que se quite este mariquita apoteosico catársico .

  • loved the video jackrudybacks !!!!

  • Great video of a classic! I was at a laser show in my home town back in 1982, and this music was used as a backing for one portion of the show. Imagine, if you will, huge speakers set apart in front of a stone rock over the size of a football field, and sitting between those speakers. That was really awsome!

  • Thank u ackrudybacks for this great work.

Personally, I think is and will remain one of the great geniuses of electronic music, was the first pioneer in this field and it must be greatly expanded the field of electronic instrumental / electric...This piece is one of my favorites. however congratulate you for the work you did and I appreciate your effort, you managed to amaze me with this clip, Congratulations!

  • They don't just turn all the lights in Paris off for a great guy, they do it for an EXTRAORDINARY guy!! JMJ, LEGEND!

  • Jean Michel Jarre is a masterpiece, his work is phenomenol.

  • Greatest electronic album of all time

  • Das ist die beste Weltraum Musik die ich kenne.

  • im so glad my dad listened to this when I was small otherwise I could not have discovered it

  • @rbervini Indeed, same here.

  • @rbervini You might have discovered him if you ever heard of / googled for the worlds largest outdoor gig'! Jean Michel Jarre with 3,5 million in Moscow or something like that. :D

(who wouldn't want to know what his music sounds like after that?)

  • @rbervini Same here! I want to thank my dad so much for all my musical tastes - Mike Oldfield, Bowie, Kate Bush... My mum's more of a Robbie Williams kind of girl :P

  • @rbervini I am glad you and I have fathers with wonderful taste in music, dear sir. I am in the exact same boat as you. :)

  • @rbervini you and me both

  • @rbervini same here

  • @rbervini

    same here:)

  • @rbervini yes all with you, I used to sleep with the VHS of his 1993 barcelona concert under my pillow!! no joke for years till i outgrew the fact the house-robber would pick it out of hundreds of tapes LOOLL love JMJ

  • @rbervini Same

  • @rbervini My grandma just gave me OXYGENE on vinyl.

I had no idea she even liked this kind of stuff!

  • fantastic

  • JMJ did not make much albums, but they ALL were masterpieces!

  • We are so small in this universe! Just a little speck of nothing.

not so every thing in the universe is important down to the smallest particle

  • What's funny is that people back then thought this was how music would sound in the 21st century. But, they didn't count on an "Idiocracy" sort of future with its musical tastes (e.g. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and the Blackeyed Peas.) Welcome to the real future.

  • @christsminstrel N2Ohhhhhhh shit

  • @christsminstrel right. and no one can imagine what the music will be like in 50 years

  • @christsminstrel - I love this guy.

  • It is if you want to look. Mainstream media is stuck in the last century. Keep your ears and eyes open for CRIMINAL SUICIDE LIMITED and you WILL be blown away. :)

  • @christsminstrel oh ffs there are plenty of good musicians today. You people always come out with this crap. The charts back then were just as bad as today. You don't notice it because its the good music that stays timeless and the chart music vanishes.

  • @christsminstrel Bro, if u like this song then pls check out JAJA- Oum, Sephira - Imagination in motion, Hinkstep,Ethnoscope at Ektoplazm netlable site.. That sounds like future music...so amazing stuff yet underground. be well, with metta kindness

  • @christsminstrel It's always like that.. Retro Futurism is probably the biggest case ;)

  • SPACE MUSIC! IDK WHY I LIKE THIS!?!

  • @adolfcartman420 try hawkwind a 60s/70s stoner band , space rock/stoner music that makes you fly :O)

  • Thanks for making me feel insignificant, now I can go and do menial jobs with more enthusiasm.

  • has anyone got an idea about this album "Andreas Akwara-Klangbild" that seems to sound so much like a modern follow up to oxyene?

  • I love the sequence from 6:45 and forward. It really is loneliness audiofied!

  • Did you know that oxygen in earth's atmosphere is being depleted a lot faster than the planet can produce it? Since the mid 1950's to present date it has depleted by 33%. This is a serious situation that must be adressed without promptly, otherwise the consequences will prove to be detrimental to all of the species perhaps in less than thirty years.

  • The German "Andreas Akwara" brings up an Album called "Klangbild" which seems to continue the work of early Oxygene. I recommend listening to it at junodownload. it seems to have many friends at facebook, too

  • ADVENTURE CALL

  • A classic!

  • if this isn't classic psychedelic what is it ! ! !

  • @shibacalls ...Jarredelic !

  • And yet we are everything!

  • do you want to have some music to dream?here it is!!!!every sound of jean is great!

  • I'm speaking for every 30something & up Filipinos out there when I say this song along with Equinox 4 will remind us of one of our most famous actresses (Vilma Santos) in her most famous Role as "Darna" as these two songs were used in that film ^^

  • WHEN WE FINALLY GET OFF THIS STINKING PLANET,THIS IS WHAT GOD WILL PLAY AS WE MAKE ARE WAY INTO THE GREAT UNKNOWN! just sublime!

  • @bunny2337 I LEARNED WHAT SUBLIME MEANS TODAY! :D

  • as are you
