I've been to various TV show tapings. Including. The Big Bang Theory. The only thing I can think of here is. When they do a scene, they do it 3 or 4 times. With different jokes. Then, they piece together the final product later. So, mistakes happen when it's part of a "puzzle"

Um... It's not really a mistake. Rather I notice shows do this all the time. Doing a task, but not REALLY doing it. Also they were doing many takes while he was likely doing the same thing over and over. Each shot cannot be exact, so these little mistakes happen. It's not a HUGE deal. LOL

I accually noticed a mistake on one of the more recent episodes.

In the episode when they went back in time you could see the model of the double helix in the backround when sheldon was showing the apartment to lenord. in a previous episode they said that sheldon and lenord worked together to build it

yeah earlier in the scene he takes the blue shirt from the pile and sets it over to the other side to say something to penny. You just didn't show that portion of the clip. No mistake, end of story

It wasn't a mistake. I previously watched your clip before watching the actual episode. When Sheldon and Penny are talking, Penny folds Sheldon's purple and black socks... at the same time, Sheldon is prepping his blue shirt for folding. She finishes his socks, and sets them down on his clothing folder. He notices how she folded his socks, and sets the blue shirt down so he can correct the socks by folding them in the clothing folder. Then, finishes with the blue shirt... *shrug*... sorry.

Small things like that happen all the time. It's because they do retakes and peice everything together. A tiny mistake doesn't take anything away from the scene, and it sure as heck doesn't ruin the show or anything. I love Big Bang Theory, and I highly doubt that you pointing this out is going to change that. :P Though you were very observant in finding it.

I thought a more flagrant error was in the next ep, where Sheldon indicates he got his N64 memory card and could restart where he left off in 1999. There are not memory cards for N64 or any cartridge-based system. There was a memory expansion pack, but besides not being out as of 1999, it didn't hold game data, but simply enabled games to run better.
