  • took my 8 year old 597 shooting last week, with a friend who just bought mosberg plinkster (which for its price is a great deal) and we went through 550 rounds both guns worked great, other than a few jams here and there probly due to mag malfunctions. I forgot how much fun, and cheap 22s are.

  • @charlene1450 .22's rock!! Def the best "bang" for your buck and a great caliber firearm for beginners.

  • Good shooting ...

  • The .22 im using is about 20 years old or so my dad had got it when he was 18 i will be making a video soon idk wha kind the gun is.. no name on it anywhere

  • i like that gun nice shooting im lookin for a new one can deside 10 22 or 597

  • @TheKDH20 I dont think this model(597 LS HB) is available in .22lr anymore.... only .22wmr, so ive heard. I love my 597 its a great gun. I bought my dad a 10/22 and he absolutely loves it. Id say make your choice based on looks, they're both great guns!!

  • Are you close to Watkins Glen?

  • @someharleyguy This was shot about 2 hours north of Watkins Glen in Happy Valley WMA. Thats about 15 minutes from the Grist Mill in Parish off rt 81 exit 33. I usually travel through Watkins Glen once or twice a year, but its just traveling from one winery to another : ) I live near Syracuse, kinda in the middle of the two.

  • wow very nice grouping-perfect for gophers

  • wow very nice grouping

  • nice shooting the reason why you missed the first shot was probably becase the barle was cold ithis is called a bore shot because the gun will shoot diferently when the barle is hot san your scope is probably sighted in to the gun when the barle is hot.

  • good shootin'.

  • @varmintgetter Thanks. I'd like to put a target hammer in, maybe get some tighter groups. You got some great vids and good lookin guns! I really like your wood stock 10/22 with the stainless barrel, it shoots well too!!

  • @someonenuu2 thank you. That's my favorite 10/22 rifle in my collection.

  • @someonenuu2 Try polishing the bottom of the hammer were it comes into contact with the sear I did that with my 597 and the trigger pull feels like its about 3.5~4 pounds now. They come from the factory with a 5 pound pull. That should help with your groups but it looked like you were doing very well.

  • @workensmart Thanks for the tip. Trigger is much smoother, and now ive got a dremel tool : ^ )

  • @someonenuu2 Glad I could help. The trigger in mine is smooth as butter.
