I read the GTE GTD-5 was at the automatic telephone exchange. Phone company in Conord Tn. was Concord telephone exchange. Could that whistling sound to let you Know that your phone is of f the hook been the GTE GTD-5?
That is an awsome sound. Back when I was a child in 1981, I lived in Concord Tn. and they had a different phone off the hook sound. the sound in Condord was like a whistling sound. Does youtube have a recording of that? But this tone on youtube you can understand.
Is this a howler tone or is the howler tone something else?
