I transcribed this when is came out on vinyl around 1973. It's a genius blend of the way Elton John was playing then pus Art Tatum and a million other things. A deep emotional groove for sure.
un tocco al pianoforte inconfondibile..mi piace questa rivisitazione del blues per uno stile più complesso senza perdere la carica di sofferenza propria del genere..un po' sullo stile di Dave Brubeck
I had this record on vinyl as a kid the year it came out. I brought it to school and our teacher made the whole class sit and listen to Lalene in its entirety. 38 years later it still gives me goosebumps! What a masterpiece...
Just spoke with a BBC market research lady by the name of Laleen. She didn't know about this beautiful track, but said she'd listen later. Hope she enjoys it. Makes me cry.
NPR's "All Things Considered" theme music at 2:53 I wonder if Keith is quoting the show or if the composer borrowed this for the NPR bumper music. Maybe it's just a coincidence.
Hmmm... this is definitely the original Jarrett recording, so I'm not sure. There are lots of people on YouTube who play Jarrett transcriptions, however.
Sounds more like someone is trying to sneak in the name "Lucio Bergamini" so that after the nuclear war.. youtube will be the only remaining record of this song... and everyone will think Lucio Bergamini is a hero :P

@stevetadworkz you couldn't be more right about that half minute or so -there's a melody there and a very accessible one at that
