August – 2011!!! Frampton live (yet again), after a 30+ year fascination with his sound, skill and that awesome, ear-shattering bliss that can only be experienced up close and personal. This album was unfairly overlooked -disappointing when he continually pulls off performances that make you glad you were there the first time around. Just goes to prove, age is simply a number! So, Whitesnake in July and Peter in August…I can deal with that. Thanks for the post!
Awesome,,,,Peter what soul, what depth, he was the forerunner to all the others. Listen to that voice, you can hear everybody in their,,,Ozzie, Phil, Gene,,,,he is it!!!
I agree completely! This album had lots of good stuff and never received the status it deserved. How can you copy and add these vids? I would love to be able to do it for just me! Thanks
Sorry, the song quote that I was talking about was "Holding On To You"...
Anyway, this whole albums rocks the shit out of anything!! MAKES ME PROUD THAT I WAS BORN IN 1989!!! COME ON!!! WHY DIDN´T HE GET ANY RECOGNITION DURING THE 80´S??
I mean, come on! i.e the bangles had a few hits and "Walk like an egyptian" was way stupid and was a total smash hit!! It´s not fair that Peter had a lot of really PURE songs and he didn´t get any recognition. FUCK YOU MTV!!!
@DoobieWah : 'When the movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band' (shitty movie, but fun to watch for nostalgia's sake) came out, it was pretty damning to Frampton's career - as unfair as that is. Also, he had a manager that ripped him off, big time. He went from selling MILLIONS of records , to being flat fucking broke. He started to rebound around 87 with the help of David Bowie- he was musical director for the Glass Spider tour-as well as the guitar player.
Man, this should have been a record breaking hit!!!! Didn´t get enough credit in the 80´s, that´s a fucking shame, since he always did great songs since he started in The Herd until now!! And he STILL has a long way to go... as the song says "all the music that I haven´t made keeps my soul alive", and he´s fucking right!!!!
I worked on the L.A. portion of this video back in the day... Peter Frampton was awesome...and a gent...treated the lowly the same as the producers...I only wish more performers were like him...and would have great success.
He Rocked on this album and the 86 album.

I remember seeing this when it came out. This album didn't sell that well, I guess. A lot of '70s names were in that predicament in the '80s.
