  • very good .I play this piece on my tuba

  • Absolutely AMAZING French horning. My daughter plays French horn and she is only eleven, but is good... I hope she gets to be this amazing when she is older!

  • I'm a violinist, and I remember playing this at state Solo&Ensemble last year. I REALLY want to learn the French horn, too! And I was very amazed at this video. =] Now I want to learn it even more. XD

  • @bobtheawesomedude it's ''czardas''

  • best instrument ever..

  • FANTABULOUS!!!

  • Mouth getting tired? Mine would after thirty seconds of this!

  • i love this song :) and i especially love the french horn version. ive been looking for this particular piece for so long, is it possible if you send me the score of this piece? if so thank you so much sir!

  • It's funny, a French horn is nothing like a terrorist because you can negotiate with a terrorist. But this horn just seems to follow you perfectly, my question is how you built such stamina and is there any warm up activities to build my stamina? Please respond

  • @pibom1 I have learned to be very efficient. I play with a relaxed embouchure. I keep my lips close together (without squeezing them together). I try to keep the pressure light. I play with my lips rolled in. I play on a medium small mouthpiece. I have done a lot of experimenting to find what works best for me. Different things may work for you. You just need to experiment. I do know you have to find a way to play relaxed to have good endurance.

  • erti a csaavo

  • please play concertino weber

  • is that fast? bad tone and slow. i dont like it. you schoud work to chardas..

  • I have been trying to get an arrangement of czardas for ages, is there any chance that you could send this arrangement to me?

  • I can play the french horn but i'm not as good and plus your french horn is T-I-N-Y !

But fantastic piece you've really inspired me.

  • would it be smart to try this piece when your in freshmen year and have been playing 6th grade cause i was going to ask my band instructor if i can play this in solo and ensemble next year

  • @killerbear1996 This piece is way too difficult for a freshman. Unless you're a prodigy.

  • I WANT TO PLAY THIS SONG NEXT YEAR!!!!!

  • lady gaga? lol :) i loved it

  • A wonderful old folk song great horn playing. Thanks for sharing

  • What do you suggest for people interested in learning to play the french horn?

  • I'm not surprised your students just shake their heads when you play this, I shook my head too! I'd love to hear you play "Sea Eagle" by Peter Maxwell Davies, go on, it's not that tough.

  • very good

  • This is AMAZING! I`m in 8th grade and I`ve been playing since 6th. I hope to be this good one day! French horn is the best thing in my life, it makes me so happy to pick it up and play. I hope I can be like you and get to play it my whole life.(:

  • BRAVO .... my primary instrument is trumpet but i have been thinking about switching it to French horn for quite some time now .... very nice piece

  • Gosto muito do Nocturno também! Treinando todos os dias, pois ainda estou aprendendo. E Tocar French horns é divino, como diz meu professor!

  • Congratulations!!

    Very good!!!!

  • LOL this is great.

  • I wish i had this piece!

  • I've been playing French Horn for almost 6 years now, I'm now a high school senior. And I'm looking for a solo that's very pretty and not too hard, because I'm still not that great of a player. And recommendations?

  • @xemiilayx3 Nocturno? Strauss 1 is also pretty good.

  • I recently started french horn and as much as I practice, my G is flat. any tips?

  • wow!!!!! i'm in 7th grade and play the french horn. i've been playing it for 2 years, and just WOW this is amazing!! hopefully, someday, i can play this fast and good as you! i'm DEFINITATLY subscribing!

  • Is there an arrangement of this for band or orchestra? I would love to play this with my band!!

  • AT THE BEGINNING IT SOUNDS JUST LIKE

    "ALEJANDRO"

  • @SayuriDraws Czardas is indeed used in Ajelandro from lady Gaga, they only didn''t take a french horn version

  • I'm currently learning this piece with a private instructor using your arrangement XD. It has provided me hours of joy in trying to match your sound. I'm trying my best to get there. I've been playing seven years and this is my 8th so I think I should be able to get pretty close

  • Comment removed

  • who did the transcription? I have one but its extremely high compared to this one and has some slight differences.

  • @bradn7 I did this arrangement.

  • @ohsteacher Hello Mr. Park! This was an amazing recording...

I was just wondering if, since you did this arrangement, I could perhaps see a copy of it, perhaps as a link or an email attachment or something?

I would appreciate it very, very much, as I am applying to college next fall and think that would be the perfect piece to start working on for my music supplement.

    Thank you very much!!!

  • @shib340 I believe that a lot of us horn players would love to see that :D

  • @ohsteacher

Do you know where I could find a copy of this solo? It sounds like a cool one to learn. Thanks.

  • HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE THIS PIECE'S NAME?

  • @StopTheMoti0n there are multiple ways char-das or sar-das

  • @ag469 brass is one of the hardest, but most rewarding (in my opinion), instrument classes to learn. Definitely invest in a teacher, at least for a few lessons, or you won't make much progress

  • dose the price of the French horn affect the quality the sound a lot or only in the hands of a professional

  • That was amazing...I mean I thought I could play pretty good cus I've been playing horn for a little over 2 years and I can hit high notes smoothly with the occasional double C or sometimes double E flat but that was awesome.

  • That was amazing...I mean I thought I could play pretty good cus I've been playing horn for a little over 2 years and I can hit high notes smoothly with the occasional double C or sometimes double E flat but that was awesome

  • @ag469 It is critical to develop a good flexible, efficient embouchure. Most young brass players don't play rolled in enough. I highly recommend the book "The Balanced Embouchure" by Jeff Smiley. It has great tips and exercises for developing the embouchure.

  • @ohsteacher do you know any sites to gt good sheet music?

  • damn i thought i was good

  • Haha Mr. Park was my band teacher the past two years of Jr. High. I remember this song. If anyone is wondering how he plays it so well, it's because he practiced a TON! He worked on this song all the time, especially before class would start we'd walk in and he'd be playing this song.

  • What model horn is that. it sounds beautiful. I currently have a holton intermediate farkas horn it. sounds almost as beautiful but wow.

  • I just started playing the French Horn

  • como consigo el audio para estudiar con la pc ,como siempre impecable su ejecucion maestro un saludo desde URUGUAY

  • How do you play high notes such as high doh without squeezing your mouth too much?

  • @blueraineee You must get a good teacher, private lessons if possible, and develop a good embouchure. It's control that counts; don't make it small for high notes.

  • I want this for the violin.

    It's amazing.

  • How do you get a warm horn sound?

  • @MagicCrazyMe Leave your horn sitting out in the sun for an hour - Just Kidding!!! To get a warm sound, I play with my lips close together and very relaxed. Many students play with their lips too far apart and then have to make them hard or tight to get a sound. Experiment with trying to make a small, round, relaxed opening in your lips.

  • @MagicCrazyMe Smoke weed get high and smoke 2 packets of ciggartes and than ur sound will be warm for 9h straight. I am a pro so keep my advice.

  • You're amazing! If you could make how to play videos, I'd be so thankful! I want to be able to play my french horn this well. :3

  • ok i want to play this.

  • Can I have this music? It sounds so cool!

  • Could you do BumbleBee on that? Hehehe

  • HHAHAHAHAH this was my band teacher!! he was amaing awsome. your evil cooler now steve hahhahaha!!

  • @kickbuttme haha mine too! Mr. Park is sick bird, now I'm in high school with Mr. Hendricks, who is completely crazy.

  • are the fngerings for trumpet the same for french horn

  • @tylerama90 No. Some fingerings for horn are similar to trumpet, but not all. Mellophones have the same fingerings as trumpets.

  • alexander horn?

  • THATS CRAZY DUDE AWESOME!!!!!!

  • Wow. From an old horn player, fandangtastic.

  • I give extreme props to you. I think people that like this should check out Chistian Lindberg play it. It's interesting to hear it also played on Trombone. I personally like the horn version better but the trombone guy is crazy too XD

  • i love this. i play violin and french horn and can play it on violin... now i want to learn it on french horn... fantastic...

  • I would love a copy of this as well please!

  • Can you plz send me the sheet music for this i would love to use this as my audition piece for National guard band

  • Definitely looking at this for my end of year recital at uni! Thanks for the inspiration :)

  • U R GOD!!!!!!

  • great articulation, great tone, its simply fantastic!! I wish that could play at least half as good as you!

  • What mouthpiece do you use? MT school prvide Holtons and some others. I want a Schmit.

  • 太棒了!!

  • I play 9 instruments, none a french horn. I have a friend who plays it though. I LOVE the sound and clean articulation on those fast parts! That piece would sound good on a french horn or trumpet why was it written just for violin?

    Amazing!

  • horn has not traditioanlly recieved the love of the violin in classical or trumpet in jazz. still a great intrument though

  • omg i can't play the french horn that fast.. amazing!

  • Nice effect with the stop. Well played.

  • you should make cd's. I'd buy them

  • Way better than Erik Ruske! seriously mucher cleaner with more feel and less show off(yness). Is there anyway i can get this music?

  • amazing!

  • I've been working on this piece for the past month (thank for the sheet music again) and am absolutely hopeless measures 6-8. How on earth did you reach into the bass cleff?!

  • @Withloveme2u don't change lips. Drop the jaw but keep lips firm and lots of air. just part your teeth more but just don't make sure to slack ur lips

  • @moviesmyway Thanks so much! Its working well though I have yet to hit all of the bass clef notes. I'm getting there!

  • @Withloveme2u That's good. it does take time. I have yet to hit all the bass clef notes as well. Though my range is now 4 octaves from low low c to high c. thank goodness! and It feels great to know my advice helped someone! I'm going to college next year as a music comp major on horn and I've been taking horn lessons for half a year. my boyfriend for like 6 years though. I get tips from him as well. lol. Good luck. you must be a great musician to be playing horn. beautiful instrument

  • Is there any way I can get a copy of this. I'm going into my 5th year of playing horn and would like a challenge to use for auditions as I advance in my musical career. If you can, it'd be much appriated. Thanks!

  • you should play mozart's clarinet concerto the 3rd movement

  • I love the sound of a french horn, any type.

  • im goin to play french horn, u rock

  • it gave me goosebumps!

  • ok, i play the french horn, and dammnnn. there is no way i could play that... great job

  • how do you bend the notes like that>??

  • wow ur amazing

  • very good...i miss playin so much

  • I dont feel this piece is right for the horn, but you got really close to changing my mind (Still gorgeous playing)

  • Amazing!!! Very inspiring I hope to get back into playing soon!

  • I don't know if I should switch to horn from trumpet. My trumpet teacher suggested it cause I have the embouchure of one or howeveryou spell it so I'm checking these videos out to see how I like it.

  • @scoobyj2002 its somewhat more difficult to get air through then on a trumpet plus a small mouth piece so it take some time to adjust

  • please send me the music!

  • I need your email address. Don't post it here. Go to my channel and send me a message from there.

  • Goods!!!!BE COOL MAN !!!

  • wow i never anyone could play as fast as you can on horn.. im on my 3rd year playing horn you are amazing at it... how long have you been playing?

  • 2:01 awesome!

  • why are you sooo good :( i wish i were you

  • so sick :O im really so jealous!

  • I really want to learn how to play Horn. I play 1st trumpet in my band, and I want to learn how to play this instrument.

By the way, you have great tone!

  • good idea, i used to play trumpet until two years ago i fell in love with horn. There amazing except alot different be ready to work hard if you switch

  • GReat job!

  • Sounds like a part from the Godfather Theme, would love to see someone play it.

  • I know how to play French Horn pretty well, I'm 15 and started Trumpet as my first instrument at 6, and french horn has been my permanent for 3 years and I'm in my city's teen symphony orchestra. I can play trumpet, french horn, alto horn, B flat trombone and euphonium, and B flat tuba, basically the same fingering (with the exception of french horn and trombone) but different mouthpieces.

  • this guy has a great sound!

  • i play horn and its really hard thats the first instrument i learned not so easy but i learned and this dude rocks the house

  • is french horn fingering like trumpets?

  • @18everrocks STW

  • unfortunately no

  • yeah it is. except for the E, and D they are basically the same, F horn that is. Bb horn is a little different

  • no it is not... unless you hold down trigger for all the notes... but that sounds bad

  • i know this sounds really dumb... but can u be really good like this guy at more than one instrument? because i play horn, drumset, and trumpet, ive just been getting down about how everyone says u can only really be good at 1 instrument or play a bunch and sound bad at them all

  • I play piano and I also play trumpet fairly well, but I play those instruments casually from time to time and no one is going to hire me to play them. I have dedicated thousands of hours over many years to practicing and performing on horn. I would have to spend that kind of time on trumpet or piano to even have a shot at being really good.

  • Yeah im a sophmore horn player and i have been playing for about 5 or so years and i love it any tips for an ammature like myself? XD

  • you are awesome dude! I hope I can get as good as you! how did you get so good?

  • I played F. Horn back in high school, and I'm looking for a horn for myself, now that I'm well out of high school, and want to continue. This is very good! Nice job, Horns aren't easy to play well, and you are amazing.

  • Thanks for the kind comments. I hope you find yourself a good horn.

  • i'm also a high school sophomore french horn player. hearing people play so wonderfully really gets me 'pumped' as it were to keep getting better. =] i really like this song.

any tips for playing so fast? haha.

  • Lots of scales and technical exercises. Start slow - use a metronome to control your speed - learn it well slowly - then gradually speed it up using the metronome. No shortcuts!!!

  • ha im a sophmore and i just learned last year how to play th mell and im already ahead of the first horn but now i have to learn how to play th french horn

  • rawr to you sir :P

  • wow lots of practice went into that i guess!

  • 어머나... That was soooo amazing! I literally started crying. haha.

I'm a senior in high school and I'm looking for colleges to sign up for. It would be great to have you as an instructor ^^

  • im korean, whyd you say that?

anyway, are you looking for music colleges?

  • Hmm. I'm a begginner French Horn player. I'm a sophmore in High School and our French Horns are really good, one of them actually went to State Band last year lol. I'm barely begging to play, like I've only picked it up twice to play and don't know much about it. Any tips, I really want to make it to Area or Orchestra this year. I know my expectations are high, but you won't get anywhere with them being low.

  • Please buy a real piano...

If no it's very good but always with the same problem : You play with a recording. !!

  • that is amazing that would be a fun peice to try... im pretty good at the french hond im in high school band. my only complant is my partner sucks and it messes me up

  • wats the name of this piece, i would love to play it. i've been playin horn for two yrs now and i love to challenge myself

  • i have a silver horn thats ameture it suks but anyway i have ben playing for 3 yrs and suond nuthin like you i have a big sound but no control i am enering high school band. Any advice

  • You probably need a better horn. And there is no substitute for a good horn teacher!!!

  • I wish I could play like that... Jr. High Band isn't working out so well... obviously.

  • Nah ez egy igazi magyar csárdás!

  • That's very nice. I really liked those bent tones!! XD

Keep up the fine work, professor!

  • Ez az igazi magyar dinamika!

  • Wow, great tone!

  • I could swear,..I saw Magyar Hussars dancing and eating paprikash in the same room!!! Ha, ha, Ha- thanks for posting, it was inspiring.

  • Once more, ''great job'' :-) I loved it.

  • where would i be able to find the sheet music for this?

  • What people don't realize is that compared to the French Horn, the trombone and tuba are amazingly simple. The French Horn is a very difficult instrument to play. It's often very hard to find the proper note to play. I myself have been playing for five years, and I also play other instruments to compare to. You are a very wonderful horn player, well beyond my level. I hope one day to be as good as you. Well done overall. :) Very nice.

  • hi im a double hornist and thank you for pointing this out to people i often get sideon looks in band when i pitch a wrong note but i am one of two hornists in the concert band and have only been playing for just under a year. I have good tone but i know how hard it is to play. The french horn is a good challenge and rates next to oboe on the world's hardest to play instuments.

  • I so agree. Im also a double hornist, and just begun playing. Its a fun instrument to play, but its hard. I also got 1st chair all county, exceeding the 2nd chair by 12 points.

  • listen Cygnus421,,,,,it's nothing DIFFICULT to be kind....this prof is sharing a nice video...it was a nice job and end of the story....everybody knows christian lindberg and his amazing playing...but that's not the point here..and the trombone and the horn can't be compared....respects for lindberg but this horn player is doind a great job..that's the point....
