@foo176, the chances of chests spawning have a ratio, too, just like there are chances of actually getting the weapon. Sometimes spawn rates can be 1/3, and sometimes they're 1/10. It all depends. Try again.

Anyone wanting to know the RNG exploit should see FF12GM's guide on it instead of asking 100s of questions on YT. Getting a 5 hit combo ISN'T it - You have to get the right one that corresponds with 'the number'.

Now, I think it was plain tragic for Square-Enix to make the spawn chance 0.1% AND make the one in necrohol extremely easy to miss. Just sad, and it reflects very poorly on them.

@Kiyamlol yes, it is hard to understand, you need to get the list. maybe it is faster to just go the chest after all. remember, getting zodiac spear the cheap way with RNG doesn´t count ;)

Hey I was in the same boat as you. Unfortunately I couldn't use the RNG method as I licensed brawler. But no worries like this video post states, you can obtain the spear through patience :) I finally obtained mine through hours of mind numbing resets. Another thing I found out as well, say if you opened the chest and it's gil and you run back and use the save crystal. The chest will re-spawn again but you do need the diamon armlet to obtain the spear. At least that's how I got it.

to get to this part of henne mines i suggest you do some hunts. form the board and from montblanc.. cuz to get here is actually a side quest to zodiark...and once you have done the marks talk to a certain garrif in there village to get it opened..hope this helped... :D

Oh my god, people, google for this FF12GrandMaster's Method on how to get this thing.. It's techy, tricky and a little lame (it's about playing around with the ps2-intern "random number generator"), but it's fast, efficient and you are NOT SUPPOSED TO play 11 hours (11 hours of farming!) for this weapon.. This is FF12, not WoW..

You need the diamond armlet! And if you really want the Zodiac spear at that low of a level, refer to FF12GrandMaster's guide on getting the zodiac spear - guaranteed. I got my Zodiac Spear the second try using his method! And I never got hit, either!

i wouldnt attempt doing this at level 55, you saw how quickly penelos life depleted in this video just getting to the chest. you can get the diamond armlet from the estersand merechant after giruvegan, from the outfitters on the phon coast after defeating 20 trophy rare game monsters, or in the tchita uplands (theres a video on that somewhere on youtube). the abysteels in the henne mines here are about level 65+ so its a good idea to have holy elemental weapons like excalibur or the holy lance
