The Water Makes yOU SICK AND SMELLS LIKE GARGBAGE THE PLUMBING DOSENT WORK ON ANY FLOOR! tHERE ARE ROACHES EVRYWHERE AND THERE ARE A SHITLOAD OF TILES WITH MOLD FROM THE LEAKS IN THE CEALING !!!!!!!!
The Corps of Engineers is in the midst of a 10-year Barracks Replacement Project at Fort Bragg. We are almost finished with the facility that will replace said barracks, at the end of 2008. It is important to us that our Soldiers live in adequate housing whenever possible.
Nice spin and a smily, professional PR. work. The fact is however, that the Army allowed many of 'enlisted category' facilities to deteriorate, till it became a national news-item and an outrage.
If you don't know whats going on, don't make assumptions. "MANY" of our enlisted Soldiers are NOT living in those awful facilities, they are not the norm, most Soldiers live in more than adequate housing. With that, the barracks that were advetised were substandard but it was temporary, as brand-new barracks were in the process of being turned over to the Soldiers.
Hey why not? You'll define what I can or cannot do? At least it made you respond to 'correct' me, or rather, to reiterate the official line.
"Nothing here to see, move on!" Interesting neverless all the feverish PR 'damage control' activity suddenly, which was missing before. Hard to flatly deny published video footages, so it has to be disputed how many soldiers had to live under those condition, is that it? Can you tell me, why should I believe you over the concerned father's recordings?
First of all I didnt say that it wasn't happening -- I said that it was the exception rather than the norm. I have been to barracks at many military bases, and have seen all of the new barracks that have been, or are being, built.
No one can deny what was seen on the tapes, but what the Army is trying to show is that, again, it is the exception, and it WAS temporary.
I heard you loud and clear in the first time 'jsbu'. However all the awkward explanations 'ex post facto' is exactly that: awkward. It requires trust and credibility to a side which before didn't thought was necessary to communicate the problems.
There are times sony, when silently enduring well-earned criticism is actually more noble and effective, than countering it tooth-and-nail.
This is Bullshit!!!

Unfortunately, while we are constructing new barracks, we can't simply bulldoze all of the old; we have to do it in steps.
The Savannah District of the Corps of Engineers is proud of the new barracks we have built, and we can't wait for the Soldiers to move into them.
