My heart goes out to u.what they claimed to represent before destroying every peace of African civilization is the opposite soon as u reach their shore.there ancestors should have been detained by indians and deported back to euro when they first settled here to know how it feels.american is the land of immigrant from everywhere and will never stop coming.
so many sod stories what about our own people who are homeless and have bad health what about our soidlers who are dying each day in this pointless war our goverment needs to start standing up for the ppl again
I personally know an Iraqi refugee that is being held in ICE detention even though he committed no crime and he is legally allowed to reside in the US.
That's beside the point. Even if that's true, their bad behavior cannot justify bad behavior on the part of the United States. That's not to say the US hasn't treated most Arabs humanely; it has, but there are certain cases of where it has crossed the boundary of justice to where it should be called a tyranny and abomination.
America has a dismal record on treatment of people from Arabic origin. Take a look at Maher Arar or at Guantanamo and you will see why people trust Putin more than Bush.
"I know that America is a country that has high respect for human rights." Being born here, I always thought so too, but more and more I'm beginning to feel different. From immigration to Iraq I don't see the compassion this country is supposed to stand for. To tell this woman she should go back and die in her country is deplorable. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
@symsess Open your eyes you fool. You question America's record on human rights. Try comparing that to the crappy african and middle eastern countries from where most of them come. There is no comparison. Most western people are tired of having to accomodate these people. Greater efforts should be made to clean up the political situation in some of these countries (by force if necessary) so as to stop people living in fear there.
Detain this person for 11 months! What did she do? What crime did she commit? All of the U.S.'s values are put to the test by how the worst off are treated and right now the U.S. is not passing the test.
And my apology to all u good whites out there cuz without you, slavery itself never would have ended. keep up the good work.
