The lyrics I recall in "Swanee River" (Originally SUWANEE) goes WAy down upon the Swanee river, far, far away. That`s where my heart is yearning ever, that`s where the ole folks stay, (that`s 1st paragraph) then comes 2nd) All up and down the whole creation, sadly I roam. Still longing for the ole Plantation, and for the ole folks at home. (comes chorus) All the world is sad and dreary everywhere I roam. O` darkies how my heart grows weary --far from the ole folks at home
Please refer the Wikipedia's Info: 'The Suwannee river is the subject of the Stephen Foster song "Old Folks at Home", in which he calls it the Swanee River. Foster had named the Pedee River of South Carolina in his first lyrics. It was called Swanee River because Foster had misspelled the name....'
Thanks very much for posting this beautiful song, the sound of the several harmonicas together is very beautiful, they remember me immediately on our Harmonica-Duet "Ode to Joy". Thanks again for making this duet !! The beautiful pictures of Swanee River fits very well to the music.
peace full

Visit here now and then, but I always end up going to Johnny Jake`s version on the fiddle. Try it, you might like it too!

Way down upon the Swanee river, far, far away.
There`s where my heart is yearning ever, that`s
where the ole folks stay
All up and down the whole creation, sadly I roam
Still longing for the ole Plantation
And for the ole folks at home (Chorus)
All the world is sad and dreary, everywhere I roam
O` Darkies how my heart grows weary
Far from the ole folks at home

Great rendition, but the final stanza is:
Oh darkies, how my heart grows weary
Far from the old folks at home
Not the politically correct lyrics in the video.

How do you play 2 tunes with one instrument?
stad97 2 years ago
I use Adobe Audition, a multitrack recording software. First record melody. Then play back melody and same time I record second track.
