  • is it water proof?

  • you have new updates available ;)

  • I have just bought a Trident 15, can you suggest a fishfinder that shows that amount of bottom detail but without the cost?

  • @76Inverted Unfortunately, the side imaging sonar units are very expensive ie. £1000+ in the UK. Traditional 2D sounders are much cheaper, but obviously will not show you the same amount of detail as the side imaging units. Take a look at Humminbird, Garmin and Lowrance - they are all makes which have a good reputation. Also remember that the T15 has a transducer compatible scupper - so you can buy Humminbird transducers which will fit into the scupper hole of the kayak.

  • Great info...been looking into SI. I have a Trident too, what is the transducer setup like on a SI unit?

  • Thankyou very much - I aim to please ! I use quite a large battery - 12 Ah - I have never managed to exhaust it even with full day's kayak fishing, so I don't really know how long it lasts. But it does fit perfectly in the area just in front of the sonar shield on the Trident 15.

  • this is some crazy stuff... and a BIG sonar for a kayak. whats the battery life like?

This really is a cool thing you've put together for us. Amazing work if you as me, and probably one of the best breakdowns of the sideview images I've seen.
