I think it could draw some eliptic locus if you put a pen to one of the side arms

Anyway, Great Idea!
i a meccano set but i dont know how to make the sliding connections, how do i make them?

The trajectory of any point of the handle is an ellipse.
In the middle point between sliders this ellipse = a circle .
Holding it at this point you can motorize it easilly.

This specific mechanism is called a nothing grinder.

The first time I saw this movement as a toy was 48 years ago.
I was told that it was called the "b. s. grinder".
Not far from the name you called it.
