  • Have you noticed that, no matter how long you watch it, one slider will never colide with the other on this busy cross section?

  • I can watch that for hours!!!~~~ Wheres the 10 hour loop?!?!? lolzzz

  • you spin me right round...

  • CHOO CHOO

  • it does to something, It moves!

  • It wastes electricity....:P

  • that thing is cool!

  • I think it could draw some eliptic locus if you put a pen to one of the side arms

  • @youtship

Sorry I overlooked your full description which has mentioned about elipse drawing already.

    Anyway, Great Idea!

  • i a meccano set but i dont know how to make the sliding connections, how do i make them?

  • Theat's great!

and to think I've been doing all my nothing by hand.

I bet I could get a lot more nothing done with one of those.

  • The trajectory of any point of the handle is an ellipse.

In the middle point between sliders this ellipse = a circle .

Holding it at this point you can motorize it easilly.

    Thanks for the commentary

  • This specific mechanism is called a nothing grinder.

  • The first time I saw this movement as a toy was 48 years ago.

I was told that it was called the "b. s. grinder".

Not far from the name you called it.

    Thanks for the commentary.
