  • We had a medical evac like this on my last cruise. The weird thing was, the ship never stopped. The boat pulled alongside, but we were doing about 8-10 knots the whole time.

  • @ideastoday The ships don't tend to stop...it would just creat confustion and take more time...the coastguard boat can easily do 8-10kts so it makes sense for the boat just to come alongside at that speed...

  • did everything else go fine on the boat and imagine if they dropped him

  • Well.. I hope he is alright and doing well, That was one cruise would want to forget

  • Lol

  • op achter grond hoorde ik een vliegtuig

  • I think i was on this cruise!!! I remember the guy having to get off at San Deigo!!! When was this?

  • what happened to this person?

  • I heard or read rather that it was a man with heart trouble.

  • I'm going on the Paradise next April. And the Carnival Paradise was my very first cruise in April of 2005

  • I left a ship like that once; very nicely handled by both the ship and the Coast Guard.

  • How??

  • where were you at when this happened?

  • on deck starboard side forward, over the bridge.

Or, off the coast of San Diego...

  • Nicely captured! Too bad it wasn't a "Fun Cruise" for this passenger!
