I'm amazed that the conductor had to investigate the problem. When you hear something like that you immediately stop the train. and if it wasn't necessary to pull the emergency brake, you got a few minute delay, wow that's terrible.

Die Züge fahren nicht mehr so wie zuvor, heute dürfen sie nicht mehr aus so vielen Waggons bestehen wie vor dem Unfall, ausserdem wurde der Radreifen, der ja Auslöser des Unfalls war, verbessert.

der TGV rumpelt wie die sau, ist hässlich, und wenn man damit durch tunnel fährt hat man nen druck auf de ohren, weil die scheiben nicht druckoptimiert sind wie beim ICE!
außerdem kannst du die qualität nicht vergleichen, weil der ICE 10mal besser verarbeitet ist!

I love Trains! I ve got the Microsoft train simulator at home and the addons, and it´s wonderfull. But wat was happenend in Eschede was horrible. I am from Germany and I can´t very good english. The ICE 3 and T are really cool. Better than the ICE 2 or 1, what we see in the video.
good remembrance of those that died on that unfortunate day. This accident was the main reason the TGV/ICE hybrid was replaced by the Shinkansen for Taiwans high speed train project. NOw the Shinkansen in Taiwan rides on the eurotrain infrastructure in Taiwan and driven presently by German and French drivers.
a really great video! That train accident was horrible, I don't even dare to think how those people felt when they derailed... Very nice that they built a memorial park by the side of the tracks.
I am hoping to ride in an ICE next month so I was looking for clips of it... didn't think this clip would affect me so severely... may they rest in peace
I hope to try out the ICE next month when I visit my relatives in Germany. Ever since I first saw the ICE Queen I wanted to drive in it but hadn't had a chance till now. I love that train, it is so elegant and fast, all the models. I like all high speed trains but ICE is something special :) can't wait for December!!!

Die Anzeige steht bei 02:00 auf 249km/h, die Strecke zwischen HH und H (dort liegt Eschede) ist aber nur für v-max 200 zugelassen...

Die Radreifen gibt es nicht mehr.
Die Züge wurden durch Technik diereckt an den "Rädern" verbessert.
Die ICE 1 u. ICE 2 Generationen sind aber von der Länge und der Ausstattung der Waggons immer noch gleich (also auch gleichlang) unterwegs.
Lediglich die "neue" ICE 3 Generation Verkehrt mit weniger Wagen oder in einer sog. Doppeltraktion. (2 Kurzzüge aneinander)
Zudem gibt es sog. "Radlenker" welche auch bim Unfall auf der Strecke Würzburg verhindern konnten.

Was für ein Scheiss.
Traurig, wie ein Möchtegern-/Hobbyfilmer mit seiner Handykamera in 03 Minuten Hunderte Angehörige und Opfer dieser Katastrophe verhöhnen kann.
Täglich werden Hunderte von Videos aus fadenscheinigen Gründen von YouTube gelöscht, aber so ein gehaltloser Müll überdauert Jahre.

I live in berlin and travel every jear 2 Times with this train.
ICE 1 + 2 are very nice but ICE 3 + T (the new one) is the ultimate experience.
book an ICE 3 oder ICE T when you come to germany.
one track for ICE 3+ T is Hamburg - Berlin.
