It would be great if they practiced on each other I am sure he would benefit from a wrist lock as his defence is purely attack driven and realise there is common ground beyond variation. Aikido benefits from the Atemi and wing chun from the joint manipulation. its not the best demo and egos usually messes things up!!
so because you are chinese you are automatically an expert . this is simple and effective , how could integrating two different styles be rubbish . the only rubbish here is your negativity and ignorance .
Wyng Tjun and a powerful practice for more than two years faster and more effective where more or less and is economic in terms of movements and much more contudente.
I'm doing martial arts for about 14 years now, was doing both Wushu and Wing Tsun (or Tzun), which are both very hard compared to your style / fluidity. I also began to do Ninjuitsu, because I found out that both martial arts are fitting each other perfectly. You did that very well! Hope to see more videos of you! Greets from Germany, Chris
Very similar to what me and my brother do, we train in a style of ju jitsu that incorporates a lot of Aikido but also study kung fu, at first trying to mix the two seemed a little strange but they actually work very well together, many Aikido techniques are greatly enhanced by incorporating a counter move usually a strike first, simply to take your opponents mind of the move you are trying to apply. Have a way to go still but hopefully end up pretty good at both.
Atemi are a huge part of aikido anyway. Example: irimi nage as we normally see it doesn't consist in a blow because we practice aikiDO (a BuDO in a DOjo). In a fight that arm will land a shuto right under his chin, of course. It won't be aikido, though. A DO implies rules to be followed, in a fight there are no rules therefore DO can't exist.
Haha. Russian mafia boss in the black never twists his hips or uses his body to put force behind his techniques. You can easily roll an elbow right into his face when he steps to the side without any coverage. Useless.
There is no authentic wing chun, there are very many variations. But it seems that the instructor has tweaked his original lineage form to better suit himself.
This is not real wing chun , to respond to one fighter like white man in kimono hwo send a direct punch , wing chun find the best gap to punch him but not in the headin this situation ! very wrong your wing chun , sorry :)
Wing chung is useless, i went to a dojo here in las vegas called lomankam, and when i walked in there i saw two gay guys practicing this hog wash. just saying.
@freddylv2011 because "gay guys" is the decisive factor for whether or not a martial art is useful?
assuming you mean to associate "gay guys" with "effeminate" or perhaps "weak", i'm curious just what your understanding of the history and purpose of a great number of martial arts is, if not to arm those who are "weak."
@Random1765 Win chun dose work, being able to incorporate both these arts, aikido with its joint locks and throws and win chun with its trapping can work in unison. With some modification, Bruce Lee is the perfect example of that.
@FloPMJ Bruce Lee abandoned Wing Chun for better striking and grappling arts as he learned more, he used western boxing and TKD for his kicks, fencing for his footwork and Judo for his grappling. The sad thing is that Russia has a great style like Sambo and they waste their time learning garbage like this. Before you flame me, I do not practice Sambo and I am not Russian. Just pointing out a better style from their country.

the black belt in the first 2 minutes...i learned as a "no belt"/white with knives to my shoulders! to not throw my shoulder! how is he, being a black belt, throwing forward his shoulder? literally! i got stabbed when i made that mistake!

my respect to both! i dont understand the language but i understand the martial art language! very very nice idea! im a wing chun student and i give my respect to the aikido master for not showing off him self because i can understand that this is wing chun master's idea! you don't see often a master of any art wanting to learn something else! really nice work to all!
Excellent job! I really appreciate this idea of combining Aikido and Win Chun since it has a lot of potential. It is very clear and intelligent explanation of the conception. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating your idea.
These thing works so great on static people but never realy saw a move like this ona real fight.

it says here. Wing Chun vs. Aikido. I see Aikido, Wing Chun, but not =) It's just a technique to strike, but Wing Chun has nothing in common. =)

Wing Chun and Aikido share ideas, chief among them is defending the centre although executed in very differently from one another.

You dont have to learn Wing Chun in order to stop those punches.
