    !!もちろん着メロもこの曲にしています。

  • This is not the version on the "Light as a feather" album, it seems to me some kind of alternative take... the band is undoubtly the same, and the voice is Flora´s, sure....

Can you tell me where is this take edited!!! Thanks and wonderful posting!!!!...

    Spain Forever!!!!

  • @night1952 Yeah , this version is nice to hear n e v e r heard it until now.

    Great post vsepertracyt.

WHERE did you get this version? As night1952 said this version is NOT the original version from

    Light As A Feather album.

  • @asiantrix13 dont juge jazz like it was classical music:P

  • a classic from the seventies

  • There are 2 versions. The other one is longer

  • the vocals is bobby ??

  • absolutely not.the singer is Flora Purim

  • So do I !! Voice is not clear like Flora Prim

  • sounds like him

  • what does the elephant means?

  • a joke perhaps?

  • the high F#? not really flat...

  • Did anyone else catch 4:40?

  • A little bit, but not nearly enough to take away from the overall musicality of the song.

  • This is not the same version that appears on "Light As a Feather". Is it an alternate track?

  • Corea is a genius. -jari

  • we love his music in colombia!

  • Comment removed

  • jajaja you don't even know what spell means

may be you don't even have a map!

to check how colombia "south america" is spelled

  • Said the retard who thought that maybe is two different words.

  • ya dont tell any1

  • it is spelled Colombia

  • thank you!!. you know children this days! they just go to school to hang out!!

  • My favorite part, is when at 5:29 , Chick says, "Meh, lets play it faster"

  • No flute solo??

  • awesome!!!!

  • Hi Corea fans;

This version skips quite a lot of the original, having been spliced out of sections thereof. It even skips the head after the riff! Kinda wrecks the continuity.......

  • Hi TWoodspianist, you're totally right. maybe its another take and that's the reason they didn't put it in the cd. Chick plays here in a very similar way to the original track we all know and love so i guess its just another take. I also LOVE his akusic band version.

    Chick rules!!!!!!!!!!!

    sorry, i got caught up...

  • sorry, I meant to say akoustic.

  • Actually, this is the original version. The first recorded version of this song, by Chick Corea on "Light as a Feather". Before all the akoustic band business

  • yes, ur definitely right, i noticed that, 2, but.. honestly i do not care such a lot, its still a pretty awesome versoin=)

  • anyone notice it switches between spain chick corea and chick corea spain and at the end it says light as an elephant

  • Haha, it's great that u caught that, a little thing I added to see if people were watching too

  • simplemente..., sorprendente

  • i love this song

and my bad davidpocket i accidentally gave you a thumbs down lol

  • With music like this it makes life just about bearable

  • Amen.

  • This was one of my favorite songs my schools jazz band did last year for a concert everyone loved it.

  • The intro is from Concierto de Aranjuez, written for classical guitar & orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo in 1939. It helped to cement his place as one of the major Spanish composers of the 20th century.

It just happens to fit this tune perfectly, and of course a musical genius such as Chick Corea would realize that.

  • Right! That track also appeared on Miles Davis/Gil Evans' Sketches of Spain

  • this track doesn`t exist on `sktches`... but on Return to Forevers``Ligt as a feather`. On flute Joe Farrel. -jari

  • I the beginning there is not a cello, is an upright played with arco.

    Cool!!!!

  • the bass solo rocks

  • Just straight bass in beginning

  • the cello that you're hearing is stanley clarke. he's still playing the bass, but he's playing it arco and with effects added to his sound. Kinda like a dijeridoo

  • is arco using the bow? cus thats what he doin

  • yeah i'm an upright player and arco stands for a longer latin word meaning "bow." The word Pizz and Pizzicato come from latin and are put in sheet music for plucking the string. He just uses a bow with effects, but I love the sound; it's perfect.

  • Stanley Clarke is a phenomenal upright player.

  • Actually those words are from post-Renaissance-era Italian, not Latin.

  • awesome song!
