  • would it be possible to run CD's / DVD's on Mac mini? THANKS!!^^

  • @mkb7257 Yes, as long as you are willing to buy the External SuperDrive, or have another Mac/PC lying around with a optical drive that can connect via WiFi or Ethernet.

  • @R3TRI8UTI0N ok thanks for the info :)

  • Your geekbench comparison is wrong. You tested the mini with the 64bit version, which gives higher numbers, to the 32bit version results on the website. The 32bit version test shows the base mini scores 5884. Actually, the base 2011 mini scores the same as the base early 2011 MacBook pro but costs twice less.

  • @Nilsfried yes very true I don't make much sense, not sure what I was thinking lol

  • Nice vid. Is there a follow up video with bench marks once an SSD has been installed? I'd really like to see what performance gains you get from adding an SSD. benchmark scores after a RAM upgrade would be good too.

  • mac mini has good sound for movies and musik?????

  • Do you think the "2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 mac mini version" can run at 1080p high setting World Of Warcraft without lag?

  • @Scatology900 hell no

  • nice, I'll buy this device>

    thank you

  • Thumbs up for this guys awsome intro!

  • I am looking for some input on the AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory configuration, any idea how that will improve over the intel on board video chip? thanks.

  • Jus bought one from the apple store, well pleased, puts my old G5 Dual to Shame!

  • @ScDnBMusic still love the g5 though :(

  • Loved the vid man and Subed. It is always good to see a good youtuber

  • Thanks for your video it's really helped with my purchase choice

  • so this version is like imac 27" from 2010?

what score will best version of mac mini have?

    the one with 2.7ghz i7; 8gb RAM; AMD Radeon HD 6630M ; ?

can u connect mini with some 3D TV that have hdmi?

    thanks

  • It has a SATA III interface...the only reason the read speeds would be low or write speeds would be due to the fact it's an HDD...not an SSD, and therefore not utilizing the SATA III bus.

And is that your own DnB? Im a drum n bass drummer myself.

  • I have a question. I have a 27inch Samsung monitor that runs at 1920x1280. It has HDMI and DVI. Will the new Mac Mini support this?

  • @donut2790 you can support two of them

  • @donut2790 yes

  • @donut2790 yes, the mac mini as you can see in the unboxing can do all mdmi and it has a included hdmi to dvi converter

  • @heeloliver1 Only thing is, I saw this "HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution" on the Apple website. Seems like it wouldn't support a 1920x1280. Right? =(

  • @donut2790 oh. you have a point...but it seems the other comments answered your question. is this your first mac?

  • @heeloliver1 Actually, no. I'm currently posting from a Core 2 Duo Mac. Hahaha

  • @donut2790 oh cool. have you got lion yet?

  • @donut2790 The Thunderbolt port will support up to 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution so just get thunderbolt to hdmi adaptor :)

  • @CiaranVanDon HDMI still doesn't support that resolution then... So this doesn't make any sense.

  • So are you going to put a second drive in? Like you are goin' to have a 500gb and a 60 gb ssd for OS an apps? Can you make a how-to video? REALLY want it! :)Thanks!

  • Why does apple skimp on RAM?

  • @XxHardcorexxGamerxX OS X doesn't require as much RAM as Windows.

  • @TKero92 thats what I thought Im upgrading mine to lion tomorrow so will try again. Got a feeling the mi i will still be. E

  • How not hoe lol

  • That scores a better geekbench than my early 2011 baseline macbook pro 13! I swear theyve both got the same processor and my macbook has got 2gb more of ram. Hoe

  • @adamsbil1 yeah have the same 13 inch, didn't expect the mini to perform better..

  • @adamsbil1 but when i did a geek bench test of the macbook pro 13 inch it was running snow leopard. so maybe that has something to do with it.

  • nice

  • great video adam
