a dose pipe is nothing really. its just a pipe on the front of the natural air intake side. remove BOV and just makes compressor surge very loud. said to be bad for turbos but no real proof i guess.

Wastegastes only vent the overboost to the atmosphere or to the exhaust to prevent overboost going to the engine and cause trouble or danger of bending a rod or running lean wastegates only control the boost, but BOV's vent the pressure of the turbo to the atmposphere when the throttle body is closed, in other words it eliminates or reduces surge...

yeah, that noise is boost releasing. cause the turbo is spinning at a certain rate, and when he shifts, he eases off the gas, which causes boost to build up(because the engine can't suck the air in as fast). the wastegate pops to release it.

Not a wastegate. Wastegates open based on a boost reference and are located in the turbine housing of the turbo, or externally mounted in the exhaust manifold. You're thinking of a diverter valve, which releases boost pressure when the throttle blade is closed.

man that TL is not a true superbike and for the blue bike was not a Gixxer 6. Try pulling that stunt on a 600 superbike with full exhaust, power commander and work done. He would give you a run for the money.

External wastegates dump exhaust gas. A divorced pipe external still dumps back into the exhaust pipe and is not that audible. An open dump pipe just makes a loud cracking noise when releasing. The flutter noises are from the intake, not the exhaust

That's compressor surge, BOV's are not capable of making that sound. That's why hi-boost cars like supras and especially Grand Nationals flutter when they get off throttle
