@JessOnTheRun: um dude i hate to tell u this but just cuz u have some serious chops doesnt mean that ur a musician...all that it means is u can play a lot of notes really fast. Musicians make music drummers make "music".... musicianship is far superior to chops, even though chops are still needed to b a musician.
it looks really "hard" but it is actually really relaxed, you use more than one muscle group to produce that sound. So in turn each group works a little less.

"ditty" is something most high schoolers can play... it doesnt require chops, its actually pretty easy. a line that can play on a level 10 is far more effective when their book is on a level 6 or 7...
being a high schooler who can play ditty, along with a whole lot mire, i know its really not that easy to get it clean with a 10 person snare line. march corps and then come back and make these comments
@JessOnTheRun So you judge a hornline based on Long tones or lip slurs? They are warming up, not preforming. Go watch a video of crowns dl repping parts of there show, and come tell me how the have no "chops" or how "boring" it is...
I would love to do somethign like that..be in a drumline ;)

it's actually really relaxed. It's all about stick velocity not playing with as much force as you can.

i wasnt saying its forced....at all..
