@sexoja23 a good school should do ne waza for at least 10 minutes by class ... i don't think kata is important if you are not a brown or black belt... hope i helped
@MrSpat06 i was more interested to know the process of traditional judo training and to know how good is physical preparation, and if they touch all katas.
@sexoja23 Where i practice, we always do some ne waza (ground fights), you really need it if you want to be able to compete..
We don't do katas where i train, but two of my friends (who train at the same place) go to kata practices, with one of the world's best judo instructors, they're black and blue belt, and IIRC, they know the katas for the first 3 black belts.
And yes, if the training isn't demanding, it's probably not a really good dojo, you should be exhausted after practice.
@hellomynameisjulius I think traditional training military style is the best because builds a stronger and align mind and you respect more other people and you learn a vast spectrum of a martial art and body mechanics and philosophy too.In Europe you have great masters that come from the line of Kawaishi Mikonosuke and Mochizuki Minoru that taught in France.
@hellomynameisjulius precisely the same at my school, usually 15 minuts fallbreaking then 15 minuts of basic throw training, 45 minuts advanced throws + ne waza training and then another 15 minuts-30 minuts of randori including ne waza ( no ippon from throws rule) including leg locks / arm locks and chokes
Argh...the Grace family were NOT tought Japanese Jiujitsu, but rather they were actually taught Judo! Then they adapted Judo to make Brazillian Jiujitsu! Such misinformation in this episode!
The bow and arrow choke is definitely taught in BJJ.....

I have a question about judo if any one can inform me.
In places where they train traditional way of judo the train is hard and demanding or depends?
And in in some places they don't do the katas like ne waza or in a place with a good master they do ne waza?

@Far7anR so true..at that time...judo had another name called kano jujitsu...so i think that is where they took the namesake jiujitsu from..
