@inevitabledoom As do I. In fact, I think I have left it long enough for another viewing of this fantastic show. I am seriously considering getting the blu rays but I'm not sure yet. Apparently the UK boxset is rubbish.
I think the ending was amazing, i love open endings and that totally makes sense of it all. Just cause you cant make sense of it doesnt mean its poor it just means u arent open minded. Plus what ending were ya looking for? a nice sweet ending with everyone back to the way they were?
If you haven't checked it out already, the pilot is out on DVD and while it's a little odd at first, sit through it and it's definitely worth it. An amazing pilot to what will likely be a phenomenal show. Also, be sure to listen for "A Good Lighter" towards the end; Bear McCreary's music is as outstanding as always.
yea i meen i think it was weird considering the pegasus rammed a smaller ship without anjy internal samage
and was crumbiling
then u get the galactica which survived even though the ship was external and internal heavy damage the ship would of imploded in on itself i meen the engines wouldnt of stopped. because of forward momentum the pegasus lost power and exploded cus of fuel lines went poof
Pegasus was going a lot fast than Galactica, and wasn't being controlled. From what I can tell of Daybreak, they fired Galactica's engines from a short distance, then cut them off, to punch through the Colony, but not destroy thenselves. It's probably some complicated physics that I don't know.
Did it bother anyone else that there will be no one around to bury Adama when he dies? He's just going to keel over one day and rot on the kitchen floor
:(
I would have thought that after all that, they would want to spend the rest of their lives living with their loved ones. And not seperate.
Admiral Adama's body might die, but he'll become a legend, a god, just like the captains of the ships that led the escape from Kobol. Gods don't die, they are just really hard to find.
I thought of that but I kind of thought of it oppositely. Everyone else who died got airlocked out into space but Laura, through Adama's love got to be buried in the actual earth of 'Earth' a place where she will be forever. And it was really through her that everyone was saved. That Adama won't have a burial spot next to her (assuming it stays the way it seems and they are all separated forever) is sad but I also thought the cabin will be his tomb and better that than cold space
By the way this was in response to Aversion2k's comment: Did it bother anyone else that there will be no one around to bury Adama when he dies? He's just going to keel over one day and rot on the kitchen floor
@gotnothingclever Actually him ending it right then and there has crossed my mind. To me it seemed almost appropriate given how he was going to let himself die in Sine Qua Non if Laura were dead. I think it would have been a fitting ending for him to have pulled out a gun and shot himself! But on the other hand true romantic tragedy would require him to suffer alone without her for a while...
@aversion2k There's nothing that stops you from believing in that kind of ending if it works for you. BSG only implied that __initially__, some people (such as Lee and his father) decided to go their own ways ... who says that after a few months in solitude they couldn't have decided that they'd rather be with family & friends after all?
Now all we need is an alien abduction story with the description of a ship that almost matches the BaseStar that the Centurions were given. That'd be an interesting comeback...
Considering how the first time, the organic cylons scrapped the originals, you would think the new Centurion's wouldn't try again. Well, who knows. I still think there should be a little TV silent movie or something (Centurion's don't talk, at least not in a way we can here) about them. It'd be funny and awesome at the same time...
its a shame that you cannot always hear and appreciate the sheer beauty and power of all these BSG trcks in the episodes themselves .. i honestly beleve that a grreat deal of BSG's success (and why i love it SO much) is due to Bear Mcreary's great music underpinning emotional/dramatic moments in the story .. bloody fantastic .. I CNT BELEIVE ITS ENDING IN 2 WEEKS!! sad face

that's a fair question. It's more like going from one place to another. Just going from A to B and where A is or B is doesn't matter I guess
