You have to be the story and Rank battles to get them out. and when you do special sayian saga with vageta and bardock look for a dragonball in frieza ship. Hint: get under the ship while enemy is still over and use rush attack. That way you autamatically get it instead of shooting it and having to go over there. patricksantaclaus

and for the characters; you just have to play tournaments and wish for characters using the dragon balls i guess :\
