Excuse the tar out of me, but I thought that's what we paid the police for - to make sure our kids are safe even when we can't see them. *This*, right here, is the problem with American style law enforcement. It's so focused on punishment that even when there's no reason for it, they still don't know any other way to go. Effin pigs.

Dont expect them to be perfect, but they gotta know what happened to her and how she managed to "survive" for five days, they dont intend to punish anyone. wow.

They aren't questioning her to punish her. Something might come out in the interviews about survival that we've not considered before, or she may have done something to ensure her survival that has been done a million times before and her case will strengthen that information. She's being interviewed in hopes of helping other people who may fnd themselves in the same situation.
