  • Its a shame the OST version doesn't have that bit at the end

  • Yay!! I love this piece of music, definitely one of the best used in DW, but the official version is missing one of my favourite moments - from 3:35 on, the way the music builds and then cuts out as the universe explodes. That has got to be one of my favourite cues in all of Doctor Who so thanks so much for posting it!

  • Part of this theme was used in the impossible austronauht at the end when amy shoots the little girl

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, 1 more thing... The Murray Gold (composer) album IS the music used in the original season broadcast but in it's entirety for each song (in the broadcast production they 'mix' soundtrack into the production). The songs are shorter and you will note reoccurring sounds.

  • Oh! And I believe this song is called "The Patient Centurian"

  • @Selias64 No its not called that, its "The Life And Death of Amy Pond" but as it was unreleased at the time I had to give it a name.

  • If you loved this (scratchy with background voices, etc.) music.. Check out the album!

    Doctor Who Series 5

Murray Gold and the BBC Orchestra of Wales.

Over 60 tracks from throughout the first season in pretty much broadcast order!

(I got mine on an iPhone and got a bonus 'Digital Booklet' (musical 'confidential')

    Enjoy!

  • every sun will supernova at every minute in history listen to mee !!!

i cried when amy got shot by rory

  • every sun will supernova at every minute in history listen to mee !!!

  • Matt smith is actually a good vocalist!

  • Know what I think was the most horrible thing about this episode?

The music sealing him up was so beautiful. Not dark. Or intimidating. It was beautiful, like the good ending of a story.

And the doctor was being sealed up, unable to even die, for all of eternity and beyond.

    It was terrifying.

  • @OrionoftheStar I think thats what made it more sinister, the fact that the music was so beautiful and harmonious yet OMG THE DOCTOR IS FUCKING DOOOOOOOOMED! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • @OrionoftheStar : I liked that too.

  • @OrionoftheStar I think that definitely means something signifcant. If we're getting music like that promoting its good that the Doctor is being imprisoned, could this mean that something will happen where he goes bad (or we'll get a bad version of him or something?) cos the Alliance said "The Doctor will destroy the Universe." Rogue Ganger maybe?

  • @OrionoftheStar Terrifying beauty, everything that is the Doctor.

  • 3:13-3:47 really chilled me to the bone. The music shows that The Doctor has finally been defeated and the universe is coming to an end, and just when i thought the music couldn't get any more sinister, it just STOPS.......

incredible piece of work, but just wish i could find the music without the voices :(

  • @blahhhh915 Check out "The Life And Death Of Amy Pond" :)

  • @Trayusstudent1 wow... thanks!

  • I cried at the end of this episode.

  • "LISTEN TO ME!!!!"

  • WTF is the Silence because I want to him or it in the pandorica

  • @MrFryhead957 can you rephrase that coz i didnt understand :/

  • @MrFryhead957 WTF is the silence because i want to throw him or it in the pandorica

    soz i didn't know

  • this is such a tear jerker oh man

  • great job with this, leaving in the "listen to me" bit!!

thanks for putting this up, it jumped into my head this morning and i needed to find it.

  • i loved this episode, but i saw like screaming at the tv

WTF ARE YOU DOING TO HIM? NOOOOOOOOOOOO

how the hell is he gonna get out of that one? 0.0

  • now it's released in series 5 ost as the life and death of amy pond

  • 0:40 onwards is amazing.

  • please could you send me a link for the original thing with the voices?

  • @runescapeDARKshadows I don't think there is an actual video on YouTube with the full ending. There's a high pitched version which has the dialogue, thats about it i'm afraid :S

  • @runescapeDARKshadows I can upload the scene if you want ;)

  • Ive been crying over this eipsode and this song for the last hour. But it is the bittersweetest of pain, ive never felt this way before ever in my life.

  • @garraaiamour Get out.

  • @garraaiamour

SAMAGE. the whole episode makes ne cry. Its soooooooooooooo sad.

  • Silence will Fall!!!!

  • I just freaked out at the start because my volume was so high up from the last video I watched and It all started fast

  • @10Shivi lol sorry :D bit of audio probs on my end!

  • its really creepy how it just stops at the end

  • what is this song called?

  • @killakiaba There's no official title as of yet

  • @Trayusstudent1 It has part of Amy's Time in it but without the woman singing it. Never liked that song because it's so sad and makes me think about the past which I hate :( I only like funny yet serious songs like I am The Doctor

  • Where's the scene when the Doctor's being dragged by the romans and then the sad music play's with the Doctor looking at all his old enemies?

  • @Lhadnef How'd you mean? In the episode? Is it on YouTube?

  • @Trayusstudent1 No. I mean I can't find any video on Youtube that show's the last moments of the Pandorica Opens episode.

  • @Lhadnef Yeah, I think the BBC's removed them all :S

  • LOOOOOVED this episode. I loved how at the end of The Pandorica Opens the Doctor was like "listen to me!" and The Alliance is like, "whatever, lock him in there and get out the champagne."

    LOL xD

  • the music from 2:51 to 3:27 really scares me. The Doctor is defeated and how river says i'm sorry my love really upsets me because of the emotion however it was a fantastic episode

  • its painfull to see this picture of the doctor like this, please take it down :(

  • Love this, gives me the "excite" goosebumps

  • I WATCHED THE ENDING AND THIS THEME SHOCKED ME!

  • I was freaking out at the beginning because I had my volume right up! XD Great piece of music though

  • i thought this might have been a bit of a rory/amy tune as well, seeing as it plays when rory kills amy. hope they have a tune for those two; they are so cute!

  • @MarisPallitax1 Although it has at the beginning a slow variation of the ending of Amy's Theme, the scene is mostly focused on the Doctor so thats why I called it "The Doctor Falls"

  • wouldnt it have just been easier if they just shot him

  • @milllybob no point in doing that the doctor can regenerate remember plus he is also a complex time event simply shooting him would have caused a paradox in itself.

  • @doctorw2 plus if he is inside the pandorica it would just keep him alive cause the pandorica thinks dying is a form of escape so it forces u to keep alive

  • @milllybob regeneration

  • @SuperSmasher1 I agree. The whole slow-motion ending was very Lost-style.

  • I loved the way the sontaran shouted "we shall save the universe from you!" the doctor seemed so saddned by his words!

  • i loved this music it really fitted the fall of the doctor and the ailen allience's stupidity the pandorica opens/the big bang was my favourite episode of series 5 it made me just as excited and shocked maybe even more than the end of time

  • i love the silence at the end , how it swells...and then nothing. i got chills lat saturday.

  • sontaran:the pandorica is ready

    Doctor:ready for what

    Dalek:ready for you

  • The whole idea of being stuck in a small box in the dark, alone in darkness with little chance of escape terrifies me! I guess I'm similar to The Doctor in that way, I need loads of space to explore and be annoying, and see and walk on. I'd hate to be stuck in that thing with no one to annoy ;)

When The Doctor is holding the microphone thingy in Stonehenge, talking to all the ships, and scares the off with words, what is that music, sound amasing, I'd really like to hear it properly!

  • @SuperRichi1A Sorry, I gave that track a shot but the Doctor's voice has been dubbed over the soundtrack so it sounds terrible lol, it'll likely be released on the CD in the future.

  • @Trayusstudent1

Yeah, thanx for trying. I was wondering if that would be the case, as you can barely hear it over The Doctor's voice. Still, it's really nice, and I hope it's released. If not, it'd likely be done at the proms later this year.

  • This whole scene -- the slow motion, the tragic music -- really rather reminds me of the opening to the new Star Trek... though in a good way, mind you.

  • i think a point people are not asking is who or what created the pandorica?

  • @saffie1990 The Doctor's enemies.

  • @eeepictures yes but was it - really or did they just know it was a big prison?

  • @saffie1990 They created the prison because they thought the Doctor was the one behind the cracks in the universe and save it from him.

  • @TimeLordsFromSpace My caption for it was, "Do you mind, its difficult to go when people are watching!"

  • 3:14 - 3:47 is really, really great.

  • I loved the music the scene! BUT. I was disapointed at the tardis Explosion i felt it could have been much more cinematic with the theme from the time of angels ending :D

  • @smitj019 I think the TARDIS exploding was a bit strange considering the damage caused by the Doctor's regeneration. Maybe we haven't seen it all yet?

  • @Trayusstudent1 :L I just think they could have made it abit more intresting a huge build up for a white screen -.-

  • @Trayusstudent1 maybe the doctor damaged a circuit or something and it gained intelignece becoming the voice in the tadis?

  • @pottyaboutpotter1 I've always had the suspicion the regeneration really did damage the TARDIS a lot.

  • this was the best scene with the new doctor so far - so so good - and i loved the computer graphics of all the spaceships together in the night sky - top quality work =]

  • @adamb0000 I agree, I liked the continuity as well like for example, the Cyberships were the same ones as seen in The Invasion from 1968 =D

  • ooh i have an inkling to read up on my myths now....

  • i found this so sad - i was silently screaming NOOOOOOO LISTEN TO HIM!!!!

  • @saffie1990 Me too lol, although the monsters surprised me cos they do actually seem to be working for the greater good for once?

  • @Trayusstudent1 Yeah, I found that as a huge surprise! Saddest but most epic cliffhanger ever!

  • @Trayusstudent1 you so have to do the one where he shouts at all of them to shut up on that rock... (please :))

  • @saffie1990 I'll give it a shot, looking back at the clip, the Doctor's speech may have been dubbed over the soundtrack like the part where he shouts "Listen To Me!"

  • @Trayusstudent1 thank you, whilst it is a shame about the listen to me bit i really dont mind that as it makes my heart break even more

  • @saffie1990 Ok, I checked it out, I was right i'm afraid, the Doctor's speech has been dubbed on it. Bit too advanced for me i'm afraid :\

  • I'm sorry and I know I'll get thumbed down for this but I really didn't like this music. It just didn't feel in keeping with the scene. They should have used more fast paced music, possibly the score from Amy's Choice when theDoctor was in the butchers.

  • @OTimeMasterXO the atmosphere was really powerful by the slow motion effects used, fast paced music would not of fit the scenario at all. It's supposed to be a sadder, yet epic cliffhanger

  • @jmtmew If i'm honest, that scene rivals the regeneration scene in End of Time and a few cliffhangers from the classics. Slow mo worked well, the way it was structured was brilliant.

  • @Trayusstudent1 agreed :D

  • @jmtmew To be honest you can't really say that fast paced music would not fit as we don't know.

My problem is just that they seemed to be trying too hard with this scene. For example the cliffhanger from Utopia was amazing as it just seemed to flow and was so personal...This one just seemed rushed and pointless.

My major issue with the atmosphere is that, no matter how hard I try to ignore it, since River Song is involved, you know everything will work out. So I can't view it as a danger.

  • @OTimeMasterXO Time is in flux, anything can be rewritten including events like this.

  • @Trayusstudent1 Yeah but it WON'T be will it? Haha, lets face it, anything with River Song in will end well because Steven Moffat wants to give her a good send-off later down the road.

  • @OTimeMasterXO events in time and space can be rewritten so all of the future adventures with river could be wiped out in the blink of a eye.

  • @OTimeMasterXO The Doctor is involved. If everything doesn't turn out alright, something's wrong.

  • Ooh I love it! I love how most of it you can't hear, and then randomly the Doctor shouting "LISTEN TO MEEEE!"

  • @MrsManicure Yeah, I actually found that to be quite chilling when I heard it clean the first time lol

  • Powerful scene - The mother of all cliffhangers - Never seen the Doctor look so defeated, can't wait till next week!

    Thanks for the upload!

  • @Kazamitsu07 No problem, apologies its not soo clean but whats there is good lol

  • please can u do the scene where the doctor tells the aliens to fuck off

    thanks x

  • @AdamTariq002 Lol i'll see what I can do!
