  • Very strong lifting. I want to compete myself but dont know where or how to start. I weigh 74kg and deadlift 217.5kg. Iwould appreciate your advice. cheers

  • Hi, sorry, I never realised you commented until now, otherwise I would have replied earlier!

If you weigh 74kg you'll be in the 75kg weight class. 217.5kg is a pretty good deadlift at that weight! What are your squat and bench like?

  • Thanks for the reply. I can squat 305kg now until parrallel (thighs parralel with ground) but i have a extremely weak bench at 137.5kg compared to my squat and deadlift. Im still 19 so im hoping for my upper body to develop soon. Cheers

  • at 19 there would be very few 74 kg lads squatting that weight especially recreational lifters, youre bullshitting arent you.

  • Great deadlift man, keep up the good work.

  • Cheers man :)

  • Awesome lifting, well done

  • Thanks! Appreciate it :)

  • Just a thought, you way want to consider widening the stance, I know you prefer the quad drive you have but I THINK you could benefit from more hip and glute involvement. But who am I to talk, I aint deading 280

  • Hmm, I take your point, but I find my quads really help me explode at the beginning, then I feel my back and glutes taking over to lock out as I come to the top. Thanks for the suggestion though!

  • Wow! Narrow stance to the max, very nice pull.

  • Thanks!

  • Savage lift Ben

  • Cheers bud :) I'm really hoping 300 won't be long coming!
