I see some people really know jack about water/meth setups.
The main cooler and octane booster in these setups is THE WATER. Water being infinite octane as it doesnt burn. The methanol does help boost octane but it mainly there to help with evaporative properties since water tends to want to stick together with itself and to surfaces it can have problems with distribution in the manifold. So you mix in methanol which acts as a small fuel supplement as well.
@qballc This crap that it will harm this is that with lines is horse shit as it almost IMMEDIATELY evaporates with the nozzles and high pressures (175+psi) it's under.
If you need more heat suppression add more water to the mix. Monitor your knock in each cylinder if you can to determine if it's being distributed properly.
Otherwise leave it at 50/50 and run higher pump pressure.

Why doesn't he get an intercooler setup? I have a 31x12x3" CXRacing setup and my IAT's last time it was tuned on the stock motor were only 110* on 14* of timing. Made 13lbs at 6k rpm with an AFM powerpipe. Now I have an MMR900 block since I blew the stock motor. Going to spin it to 6500rpm since I have Comp springs in the heads now, should make 14-14.5lbs with the 2.87" pulley.
Meth is really garbage and if hes using that much of he is fucking up his internals every single time he runs it. It corodes all your houses and anything it runs through. Spray would be mllion timed better and it would pull allot harder. No less than 1 and half or more than where he is at now. Some people reach state where they dont want to go futher only because they think they are at the 120 percent level or very top of their ability. And its close but like I said he could be alot faster.

yea u might can get more power out of a zo6 with the money that guy put in the stang but you gotta spend an extra 15 to 20 k on the car in the first place. u can walk up with 20k, buy a mustang, get a s/c, heads cams exhaust, make around 500 hp to the wheels and still be under 20k.
@rainh2o520 Here is my analysis. 2002 base c5 will cost you 25-27k with less than 20,000mi. If you are going to ultimately rebuild the engine later... finding a working C5 with less than a 70k miles isn't hard. Won't cost no more than 19k either
mustang is unarguably is best speed for your buck, but its just another mustang on the road, when ppl see mustangs drive by they dont really notice at all anymore because they are SO common. they are fast and thats all
Condsidering you can buy a stock GT Mustang of that year for about 8-9k and a 03-04 Z06 costs between 25-30k and a 2JZ Supra costs 30k+ if you're lucky....I'd say the Mustangs is way more cost efficient...

those MMR shortblocks are BA. The rotating assembled on a GT are only good to about 450rwhp (~500 crank). That GT has some serious balls, can't wait to install my vortech :)

I run low 13's and hit 12.9 once with just exhuast and lid if I put half that money into my trans am ws6 which are stock two tenths faster then theid be low 12's. You first need to learn your cars second learn what your talking about
ive got an 04gt and i run a 12.8 in the 1/4 with bald bfg kdws on the rear. if i had cams like mr yamah22986 id be running low 12s. slap some mickey thompson on the rear and im running 11s. then i slap on a kenne bell 2.8l supercharger and now i should be running at least low 10s if not mid to high 9s. the 2v 4.6l is no joke and neither is the ls1 instead of putting down the competition maybe you should respect them

how badass a car is in my opinion is how much time and effort was made BY THE OWNER to make it fast and not some speed shop! how many countless cars on here that are fast but someone else built it. anyone can have a fast car but not just anyone can build a fast car.

Has nothing to do with the trans, it has a 1.00 4th like almost everything else. It's more a function of it making power all the way to 7k.

those MMR shortblocks are BA. The rotating assembled on a GT are only good to about 450rwhp (~500 crank). That GT has some serious balls, can't wait to install my vortech :)

He hurt that motor, ran out of fuel in cold weather. Ordered two pistons from MMR, put it all back in his stock block, and going again.

what you run at the track it might and I really mean might be high 12's unless you consider a supercharger a bolton which it is but i doubt you have one at best. I run low 13's and hit 12.9 once with just exhuast and lid if I put half that money into my trans am ws6 which are stock two tenths faster then theid be low 12's. You first need to learn your cars second learn what your talking about

ive got an 04gt and i run a 12.8 in the 1/4 with bald bfg kdws on the rear. if i had cams like mr yamah22986 id be running low 12s. slap some mickey thompson on the rear and im running 11s. then i slap on a kenne bell 2.8l supercharger and now i should be running at least low 10s if not mid to high 9s. the 2v 4.6l is no joke and neither is the ls1 instead of putting down the competition maybe you should respect them

the 2v 4.6L is a joke the engine is junk I gotta ls1 ws6 with full exhaust and a lid the only mustang that gives me a race is a terminator cobra but that's just cause its gotta supercharger on it. These mustangs are slow like most mustangs. The only to make them "fast" is put a bigger inch motor in them then they might keep up with a gm. The real muscle cars
