@Dav405 On this particular episode only, I was using my wife's copy of Photoshop CS... 2 or 3, IIRC. For all the other episodes - after I got the screen capture software set up and running properly on my own PC - I used my own copy of Photoshop 7.

@Horrorlord1 There's no reason you couldn't use CS5; some of the dialog boxes and such probably look a little different but the basic functionality should be exactly the same.

You'll have to use some different keyboard shortcuts on the Mac, but other than that there's no difference between Photoshop on a Mac or on a PC. :-)

I couldn't follow it. I followed your steps PRECISELY, and yet I've been trying to get to the end for about an hour+ to no avail. Aside from the tools not working and having to create a new tool because ZOOM did not work, it took five attempts, from scratch, of doing the EXACT SAME THING, for the mask thing to work. Other times, no matter what I did, all the lines from marquee/lasso vanished. And the brush tool to fade out areas? Yeah, mine DARKENS them.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. If you're zoom isn't even working, though, you might need to consider reinstalling Photoshop!
