  • Britain is one big provence

  • @Mark077E I'm a Brit. Cant say I've seen many carpeted kitchens either! May have just been a rug under the table?

  • @stigler30 4,000 years in the making my friend.

  • daddy wanted an order of extra cream? Sounds like he wanted to make a delivery of extra cream. Love this show....

  • Hyacinth just doesn't want to believe her dad was taken into the hospital naked for chasing the milkwoman. LOL

  • I find it so funny how they say "Our Hyacinth" or how they call their father "Daddy" Ha haaa too funny

  • I wish I had a british accent lol

  • i really want to see sheridan!!

  • is she irish? mind her r (very)

  • @Fallschirmjaeger963 . No, she is English, depending on were you are from in Britan your r's will roll. :)

  • @TheLILTIGER32 like Maggie Smith?

  • Thanks for the video, great show!

  • Hyacinth is constant denial when it comes to daddy. LOL

  • I always get a good laugh of this hehe ,,

  • Elizabeth surely has no backbone!! why cant she just say no she doesn't want to come to a candle light supper??

  • @TheJellymonty Yes, but i dont think it is soley about backbones; its about nerves i think and thats something you just cant help (or mask) untill you dont have bad nerves anymoore. Of course Elizabeth is very extreem and does lack backbones as well- i even think she a little bit codependent- on the other hand it would be boring if she wasnt a character just like the rest of them.

  • She is such a Narcissist lol

  • Love this show so much, thanx for putting it up. Did anyone notice that the doctor in this part is the same guy who played Superintendant Mullett in A touch of frost with David Jason?

  • I find it strange that for a country no bigger than Alabama England has so many diverse accents.

  • @stigler30 The UK also boasts six spoken languages: English, Welsh, Cornish, Scottish Gaelic, Irish and Manx. Not bad for a country the size of Alabama.

  • I love it when the phone rings and Elisabeth just loses it .... :-)

  • No wonder Sheridan wants to run up some new drapes with Tarquin.

  • It`s all over now! Just you relax Elisabeth! All over EVERYWHERE!

  • ELISABETH IS ONE CLUMSY ASS BITCH WITH CUPS!

  • just kill Hyacinth please!!! lol

  • Has anyone noticed how each of the sisters are named after flowers: Rose, Daisy, Hyacinth, and Violet.

  • u know elizabeth could have just put the teacup down

  • You know what? Richard is going to leave Richard and run off with Elizabeth, leaving poor Hyacinth with the Major. :D

  • i love her snobbishness

  • i wonder what Sheridan looks like?

  • @strawberrygirrl I always picture Mr. Humphries from Are You Being Served? LOL!!!

  • @strawberrygirrl like a fruit.

  • My Nana is just like Hyacinth. Its ace. :)

  • hyacinth bucket????? :D HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-HA

  • lol lol lol i luv this show ms bucket

  • "Should he be in a ward with a person who wears his hat in bed?"

I agree, Hyacinth, that's completely inappropriate! A hat in bed? What next? =P

  • Drunk as a skunk...lol

  • I think that Sheradon is probably a homosexual.

  • @michaelbme He definately so is. That's the joke I think; he been discussed living with several men over the course of the series and maybe two of them have been college 'roomates'. Hehe. I do wish we could see him though. We've seen Rose and Onslow's daughter why not Sherridan? Maybe he stays away for his own sanity.

That'd be a nice doctor's note: "Stay away from your mother and take two aspirin. Call me in the morning if the nagging persists."

  • ahh, the good old days when you could get away with a Rover as a top of the range moter. Eh? eh?

  • Elizabeth needs to stand up to Hyacinth more. When Hyacinth was putting Elizabeth's daughter and boyfriend down, she should have gotten up,left and said "Fuck you you crazy ass bitch" and never return.

  • "Drunk as a skunk" lmao

  • As the series progressed Hyacinth showed more of her good side. For example even though she's pushy and makes Liz nervous, she never yells at Liz over her accidents even though it often harms Hyacinth's precious china.

  • I love him. One of the sexiest blokes on telly.

  • Rofl @ Onslow's hamburger beanbag.

  • he was flushed from excessive cycling!!!!!!

  • obviously the injury's on his dick!

  • for this to be the first episode it was awesome LOL

  • Wow! This is the only scene in which I've seen Elizabeth stand up to Hyacinth on some level - fitting that she does it in defense of her own child. Shows she has a backbone somewhere! lol

  • they changed Rose because the original Rose had prior commitments to work on another project.

  • Sometimes i wonder if Richard and Elizabeth would have been good together... But I do love me some Hyacinth

  • Yea my mother said she heard they had a crush on each other. But nothing obscene. I really love this show! <3

  • 4:46-4:58 LOL

  • whats up with rose why did they ever change her character does anybody no

  • Apparently because of Mary Millar's 'youthful' figure ... lol

  • god i love this programme, Hyacinth is exactly like my grandmother to a T, it's crazy!! ;)

  • Lol,sware?exact same as my granmother!

  • haha mine too, thats why i love this.

  • Never you mind. Hahaha.

  • Man, the things Hyacinth says... it's just like a slap in the face! LMAO, this programme is a classic!

  • lol she's only clumsy because Hyathisnth rattles her nerves to much.

lol so would mine if I where to have tea with her

  • @Rheesoman It seems Hyacinth rattles everyone's nerve. Lol.

  • @MoniqueADyer and the fact that Hyacinth (most likely) is a narcissist makes it more funny and interesting...

  • Rose is played by Mary Millar. Shirley Stelfox plays Edna From Emmerdale!

  • Rose is Edna from Emmerdale! 2 completely diff characters I wonder why they changed the actress?

  • I used to watch this with my grandma when I was in elementary school. This brings back memories.

  • I love these British sitcoms!

There's something about it that can never be made into an american show

    :D

  • @rahmannoor its called humor.

  • Poor poor husband of mrs. BUCKET. Has to open the door for her XD

  • Rose looks better with her hair shorter

  • aww poor Elizabeth..it never fails. Every episode Hyacinth makes her so nervous she always breaks her teacup :(

  • 00:00 - 01:12

    My God lol.

  • 9:24 strange mouth...

  • Whenever Emmet shows up... Hyacinth sings! Scary and very funny!

  • Lol I love the episodes when the Chinese Takeaway calls her. I also Like the one where her husband talks to the Chinese Ambassador.

  • Hyacinthe's expressions are the best! her eyes when shes trying to hide something or hears something troubling...

  • Patricia Routledge is fabb

  • She Played This Part Perfect! i love when she sings at Emmett

  • shes just amazing!!

  • "It's all over now... all over everywhere.." XD

  • if you think about it, everyone in hyacinth's family is a little off, rose with her men, daisy and onslow, violet and bruce wearing women's clothing, and the occassional call from sheridan, hyacinth could actuallly be the normal one if she stopped trying to show off, lol

  • I don't think that Daisy is that off, I mean they are a bit "trashy" but in a nice gentle way. I think that along with having to show up everyone, Hyacinth does not have any consideration for people unless it can improve her appearance in front of other people.

  • I agree Daisy is the more down to earth sister even though she and onslow are lazy.

  • I think that's the whole point of the show.

  • @TiffKing lol that's why she's not normal...her weirdness is the fact she can't stop acting ;P

  • Their interaction and timing is spot on. Thank you for posting so others can enjoy Daddy and the family!

  • Patricia Routledge is brilliant!!

  • Oh Poor Elizabeth she always gets nervous while in that Kitchen.

  • is it just me ? or does every family have a dady a richard a hyacinth and an Onslow(me) ?

  • lomao yes it does whahahaha

  • i miss my grand dad i loved him dearly

    he was an outstanding person

but towward the end when he was old

he got just a bit like that

    "funny"

    bent u van Holland?

  • Thanks for posting !

  • love it

  • Great, great stuff. What a comic actress Patricia Routledge was/is. Has anyone ever fitted their role so perfectly as she did here ;-)

Thanks for posting these - I'm a Brit expat far, far from home and these bring back happy memories from my youth when I watched them with mum and dad and we all had a good laugh.

  • tht tea sene is best wen she drops it wen phone rings lol

  • What's that other production; the one with the three old men going around doing stunts?

  • Last of the summer wine

  • (3:16)"He must of removed more than his outer garments Mrs. Bucket"

Mrs. Bucket gives the expression 'excuse me?'.

    Doctor pronounces it correctly, "Bucket..."

    Love that.

    ERB♥

  • "Just give me time to recover my composure, then come and take tea with me at; 3:25." LEGEND.

  • These are great. Really cheered me up. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • "Especially not one of foreign extraction" Hilarious. Only Hyacinth could get away with that!

  • kidimaro - right on!! :)

  • LEGEND.
