  • First of all, it's not a hard song to play. If he wanted to fake playing something, there are many many more complicated pieces to pretend to play. Second of all, watch his picking hand, he plays two open 6th string notes before the fretting hand has to do anything. Guitar isn't played by fretting notes alone, they have to be picked, and the first two notes are open, that's why the fretting hand doesn't do anything right when you hear the music start.
