@randyisnot I don't think its the Golden Retriever has more recorded bites than a pit bull, I think it would be a shepherd. I am not saying your wrong or am I saying that pit bulls are bad dogs, I love this breed, I actually want a pit bull. My favourite dogs are pit bulls and dobermans. ;)
@FeatherFeralWolf german shepherds are by a large margine 1 of the most notorious biters - spaniels are right up there too - the issue is usually the severity of the bite. Pitts are more prone to " attack " meaning multiple, severe bites - where as most dogs will bite and let go. I still like the breed, rotties too.
i myself have a pitbull and she is the sweetest dog i've ever known. Pitbulls aren not bad dog and they wont attack unless provoked.... unless otherwise trianed to. like the saying goes, "Don't punish the dog, Punish the deed."

I have a bull terrier and he is the best dog I have ever had, they are loyal and family orientated.

I've read that little dogs like dachshunds or yorkies bite as often, or even more requently than large dogs, but you never hear about it because they typically don't do as much damage and are generally viewed as less threatening. Most people aren't going to report a nip on the ankle from a little dog, but they definitely will for a larger dog.
Blitz had a good upbringing,he was sent to a private obedient school.He came from a good family,he exude a quiet confident.He even share left over with the neighborhood cats,he doesent hold grudges,complaining is not in his nature and he give solace to distraught women..;))))

Pit bulls are on the dangerous dog act in my country, you can't own a pure breed pitbull, and any hybrids must be registered and leashed and muzzled when out.
That being said small dogs are far more snappy and agressive. There used to be a horse that lived in a field near my home in my home town, i say used to because it had it's throat ripped out by a jack rustle terrier.

Everybody loves her because she's extremly gentle - she can play with cats, chihahuas or newfoundlad, it doesn't matter to her. I never seen her being agressive. Even though a pitbull killed my friend's dog in her own back yard, I still blame the owners. Pit bulls can be very loving and loyal dogs. Statistics show that they tend to be less violent than many other dogs, but when they are 'bad' they are a very strong breed and likely to do more damage. I understand both sides, but i think they are often ostracized when they shouldn't be.

The risks are a trade-off for the secure food source, care & protection they receive from being domesticated. Dogs were not domesticated and bred to make cute pets - they have always had jobs to help humans secure a livelihood. This idea of dogs as just 'pets' is unsustainable and unrealistic.

If they care about that dog, they should take that heavy chain-collar off it! There is no need to have a chain-collar, like that, on any dog. If a dog is made to carry too much weight around its neck, it will damage the dog.

Pitbulls are used for fighting because they are of strong build, with strong jaws - it's not because of a wild streak, it's because of their physical make-up. Pitbulls can be just as domesticated as any other dog - take the stereotypical Golden Labrador - provided they have the right training & people around them who don't encourage fighting

pitbulls are a very sweet breed indeed, but what people have to keep in mind is that they do have a problem, and that is the fact that "once they get into a fight" with another dog, they straightly go into killing mode, also when they bite, they can't let go (all terriers have this), it are gene's that have been bread into the dogs (a similar gene also occurs in some humans) so it's always safer to put something harmless around their mouth, just in case for IF they get into a fight.

I've watched pit bulls get into dog fights and spats without any real injury. Certain bloodlines are bred for fighting - the Blue Nose, Red Nose & Razor Back namely and pit bull is a generic term for many breeds.

The officially recognized breed is the APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) Blue nose & red nose have nothing to do with the nose color, but the color of the fur, and they can have any color nose. @JRDEAN71 true it's hard to say from video but even these dogs that are not that tall and big looking have dense muscles and this dog looks very thick to me. My dog is 75 but he looks like he is 45. He is so lean but very muscular.

One is not domesticated and will bite anything that tries to touch him. (terrible owner) The other was raised around other dogs and is friendly. Pitts are more prone to " attack " meaning multiple, severe bites - where as most dogs will bite and let go. I still like the breed, rotties too.

I've read that little dogs like dachshunds or yorkies bite as often, or even more requently than large dogs, but you never hear about it because they typically don't do as much damage and are generally viewed as less threatening. Most people aren't going to report a nip on the ankle from a little dog, but they definitely will for a larger dog.

Pit bulls are on the dangerous dog act in my country, you can't own a pure breed pitbull, and any hybrids must be registered and leashed and muzzled when out.
That being said small dogs are far more snappy and agressive. There used to be a horse that lived in a field near my home in my home town, i say used to because it had it's throat ripped out by a jack rustle terrier.

Statistics show that they tend to be less violent than many other dogs, but when they are 'bad' they are a very strong breed and likely to do more damage. The risks are a trade-off for the secure food source, care & protection they receive from being domesticated. Dogs were not domesticated and bred to make cute pets - they have always had jobs to help humans secure a livelihood. This idea of dogs as just 'pets' is unsustainable and unrealistic.

Pitbulls are used for fighting because they are of strong build, with strong jaws - it's not because of a wild streak, it's because of their physical make-up. In the 1920s wealthy families used pitbulls to nanny their children, it worked out fine for them. Pitbulls, had a passing rate of 82 percent in patience testing, but even with that, it's the still how you train them. pitbulls are a very sweet breed indeed, but what people have to keep in mind is that they do have a problem, and that is the fact that "once they get into a fight" with another dog, they straightly go into killing mode, also when they bite, they can't let go (all terriers have this), it are gene's that have been bread into the dogs (a similar gene also occurs in some humans) so it's always safer to put something harmless around their mouth, just in case for IF they get into a fight.

I've watched pit bulls get into dog fights and spats without any real injury. The officially recognized breed is the APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) Blue nose & red nose have nothing to do with the nose color, but the color of the fur, and they can have any color nose. They are not officially a separate breed but people do breed for that particular color. You should look this information up before making comments.

this is a case this animal saved her owner, but i know many cases where this kind of dog have killed and ate his own owner and attack other people, they can attack anybody in parks, etc i can show u anytime, i respect u like this dog i like dogs too, but some races scares me, i have phobia of them

The problem is not the breed. Its the fact that morons get a male and female together, breed the mess out of them to make a quik buck and keep doing it. the imbreeding over and over again is what turns the dogs into a mess. Who wants to buy two separate blood lines when you can just keep breeding the puppies. Then the next person does the same, and so on and so on.

Its like if u treat ur baby like crap when there young OBVIOUSLY it will be a robber or killer right? same with dogs, u have to take care of them well and it wont attack people in the future, my dog for example was an angel during his baby time and is a good friendly dog now, if i treated him bad when he was young he would probably bite me or something! So please don't make excuses! Don't say "Oh 30 something million people get killed by aggressive dogs" Thats only because they were treated bad

waaa waaa They're still dangerous, I don't sympathize with them. Oh stfu, it all depends on the owners, not the breed. I had a full bred pit who was a big ole teddy bear and another who was nothing but friendly but ofcoarse protective. I am a dog trainer, I do both basic obediance and protection training. If anything my little palmeranian was a viscious little twit, put your hand near her, she'll tear you apart. all this hype about pits being dangerous, keep on believing it, SMH

Thumbs up for all the "aggressive" little chihuahuas, pomeranian, ankle biting dogs that we have encountered. I know two chihuahuas. One is not domesticated and will bite anything that tries to touch him. (terrible owner) The other was raised around other dogs and is friendly. Should we put down chihuahuas because of their aggression? It baffles me when the argument comes that pits are bad dogs.
